On April 29^th, with the official opening of the BAI'ETAN GBA Art Center, the Guangdong Museum of Art launched the "2024 Art Season of BAI'ETAN", which will revolve around the eight major themed exhibitions held in the new BAI'ETAN branch, offering a series of high-quality events as well as comprehensive cultural services for the citizens for up to three months.

The BAI'ETAN GBA Art Center will be open to the public on May 1^st. During the May Day holiday, curators, public educators, and volunteer teams from the museum will provide multiple expert-guided activities to share the stories behind the Opening Exhibitions, such as "Ode to the New Era", "Timeless Verses: Renaissance and Baroque Masterpieces from Galleria Borghese" and "A Constellation of Cities: Contemporary Art and Experiment in Southern China and Beyond", enabling visitors to experience the charm of art originals and the cultural characteristics of the GBA.

During the Opening Exhibitions of the Art Season, there will also be a series of seminars and research activities on various topics, such as the design in the museum, digital art, cultural and creative products, contemporary art in the GBA, protection and utilization of ancient materials, art restoration, etc.

On the same day, the Art Season Academic Conference of Guangdong Museum of Art BAI'ETAN was held, during which experts and scholars shared different views on the construction of the curatorial work of the museum. Based on their professional experience, they focused on the positioning of art museums in the society, discussed issues related to museum management, operation, and transformation, and exchanged ideas on the future development of the curatorial work.

广东美术馆白鹅潭馆区开馆艺术季正式启动

4月29日，随着白鹅潭大湾区艺术中心正式启用，广东美术馆推出“2024广东美术馆白鹅潭馆区开馆艺术季”。本期艺术季将围绕白鹅潭馆区八大主题展览，推出一系列精品活动，为广大市民提供长达三个月的全方位、高品质、立体化的文化服务。

艺术中心将于5月1日向公众开放。恰逢“五一”假期，王绍强、樊林、胡斌等策展人及馆方公共教育专员、志愿者团队，将为广大观众提供多场专家导览系列活动，讲述《新时代赋》《凝固的诗篇⸺博尔盖赛美术馆藏文艺复兴至巴洛克时期杰作展》《城市链：风起南方的艺术实验大展》等开馆大展展品背后的故事，与观众一道感受艺术原作魅力、粤港澳大湾区文化风貌。

开馆系列大展期间，还将举行二十世纪广东美术状态专题座谈会、 “美术馆中的设计”专题分享会、新时代艺术创作专题座谈会、 “超感体验”数字艺术专题讲座、美术馆文创专题座谈会、“大湾区与全球化”当代艺术专题座谈会、“古籍的保护与利用”文献专题讲座、“想象新城市”公共艺术专题座谈会、“跨越时空的守护”艺术修复专题分享会等一系列分享会或研究活动。

同日，广东美术馆新馆举办开馆艺术季学术会议。各专家学者就不同角度对美术馆策展的构建发表看法，结合自身的工作经验和专业领域，审视美术馆在社会中的定位，探讨美术馆的管理、运营、转型等问题，还就未来策展的方向和创新进行互动交流。
