The 10th Guangzhou International Investment Annual Conference China was held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex from April 8th to 9th, focusing on the development of new productive forces and conducting in-depth dialogues around trends in industries such as digital economy, green energy, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and biomedicine.

During the investment conference, Fred Freire, the President of Kraft Heinz Asia, stated in an interview with Yangcheng Evening News that the Greater Bay Area is one of the most economically dynamic, open, and internationally advanced regions in China. It possesses advantages in location, population, talent, and economic and industrial foundations. Platforms such as the Canton Fair and the Guangzhou International Investment Annual Conference China provide excellent opportunities for Chinese and international companies to share opportunities and communicate directly.
In 1984, under the guidance of Dr. Henry Kissinger, known as "an old friend of the Chinese people," Kraft Heinz cooperated with the Guangdong Provincial Government to establish a joint venture in Guangzhou, producing Heinz baby food with over 80 employees.
Fred stated, "Today, we have five factories across China, over 2,400 outstanding employees, and more than 1,500 business partners. In addition to operating the baby food business, we also engage in the business of Chinese and Western sauces and seasonings, with classic brands like Heinz as well as local brands like Weishi and Guanghe."
As the importance of the Chinese market continues to grow, Kraft Heinz relocated its Asia-Pacific headquarters from Singapore to Shanghai, China, in 2021 to support the company's development strategy in Asia.
According to Fred, Kraft Heinz's development journey in China is a testament to the theme of this year's conference, "Investing in Guangzhou Is Investing in the Future."
"I sincerely thank the Guangzhou Municipal Government and government departments at all levels for their strong support, which has not only established a solid foundation for our business in Guangzhou but also nationwide," Fred said, expressing confidence in the future of Kraft Heinz in Guangzhou, a resilient, innovative, and charming city, especially given the rapid changes over the past decade.

卡夫亨氏:广交会和投资年会等平台为世界提供共享机遇
4月8日至9日,第十届中国广州国际投资年会在广州广交会堂举办,聚焦发展新质生产力,围绕数字经济、绿色能源、人工智能、智能制造、生物医药等产业发展趋势,开展深度对话。
2024年恰逢卡夫亨氏进入中国市场40周年,是公司在华发展的重要里程碑。
投资年会上,卡夫亨氏亚洲区总裁福瑞德接受羊城晚报记者采访时表示,粤港澳大湾区是中国经济活力最强、开放程度最高、国际化水平领先的区域之一,拥有区位优势、人口和人才优势,经济产业基础雄厚。包括广交会和投资年会在内的平台为中国和世界各国企业提供了共享机遇、直接沟通的绝佳机会。
1984年,在“中国人民的老朋友”基辛格博士的穿针引线之下,卡夫亨氏与广东省政府合作在广州成立了一家合资企业,生产亨氏婴幼儿辅食,当年的员工数量为80余人。
福瑞德说:“如今,我们在全国拥有5家工厂、2400多名优秀员工和1500多个商业合作伙伴,在华除了经营婴幼儿辅食业务,还经营中西式酱料和调味品业务,既拥有经典品牌亨氏,也拥有味事达和广合这样的本土品牌。”
随着中国市场重要性的不断提高,卡夫亨氏于2021年将亚洲区总部由新加坡迁至中国上海,以支持公司在亚洲的发展战略。
在福瑞德看来,卡夫亨氏在中国的发展历程很好地印证了本届年会的主题——“投资广州,投资未来”。
