Shenzhen's GDP tops 3.46 trillion yuan in 2023, a YoY growth of 6.0%

On January 30th, the Statistics Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality announced that Shenzhen's GDP reached over 3.46 trillion yuan in 2023, representing a year-on-year growth of 6.0%, according to the unified calculation of Guangdong Province's regional gross domestic product (GDP).

Steady growth in industrial production

Shenzhen has accelerated the construction of a modern industrial system with distinctive characteristics and advantages, steadily promoting new industrialization. In 2023, the value added of Shenzhen's industrial companies with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan increased by 6.2% compared to the previous year, with an acceleration of 0.7 percentage points compared to the period of January to November.

The city of Shenzhen is experiencing a surge in the production of advanced high-tech products, thanks to the emergence of new productive forces. Among them, the output of new energy vehicles and service robots increased by 104.2% and 36.0% respectively.

Shenzhen's strategic emerging industries have shown a remarkable growth rate, with an added value of over 1.44 trillion yuan and an increase of 8.8% compared to the previous year. These industries now make up 41.9% of the GDP, demonstrating the strong momentum of the"new" industries in the city. Among them, the value added of software and information services surpassed the 300 billion yuan mark, with a year-on-year growth of 23.8%. The intelligent connected vehicle industry saw a growth of 38.2%, maintaining a growth rate of over 35% for two consecutive years. The new energy industry achieved a year-on-year growth of 13.5%, maintaining double-digit growth for three consecutive years.

Total retail sales of consumer goods surpass one trillion yuan for the first time in Shenzhen

In 2023, Shenzhen's total retail sales of consumer goods topped 1.04 trillion yuan for the first time, representing a year-on-year growth of 7.8%.

Efforts to build a high-quality and efficient service sector have paid off. Last year, the operating income of internet-related services, software, and information technology services in Shenzhen's enterprises with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan increased by 12.5% and 21.4% respectively compared to the previous year.

The operating income of the cultural, sports, and entertainment industries with annual revenue of more than 20 million yuan reached its highest level since 2016, with a growth rate of 16.3%. In terms of specific industries, outstanding performance was observed in art performance venues (growing by 108.9%), film screenings (growing by 55.9%), sports organizations (growing by 54.5%), and amusement parks (growing by 41%).

Investment saw continuous, stable, and rapid growth

In 2023, Shenzhen's fixed-asset investment increased by 11.0% compared to the previous year.

Looking at different sectors, investment in the secondary industry increased by 43.1%, while investment in the tertiary industry increased by 3.7%. Among them, investment in the industrial sector showed strong momentum, growing by 43.0%. In terms of specific areas, investment in the manufacturing industry played a significant role, with a growth rate of 53.8%.

Investment in high-tech industries remained active, with investment in high-tech manufacturing increasing by 64.0%. A growth of 70.6% in the investment was observed in electronic and communication equipment manufacturing.

Investment in the social sector grew rapidly, with investment in cultural, sports, and entertainment industries increasing by 29.4%, and investment in public administration, social security, and social organizations increasing by 27.1%.

Positive growth trend in imports and exports

In 2023, Shenzhen's total import and export volume reached over 3.87 trillion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 5.9%. Among them, exports topped 2.45 trillion yuan, an increase of 12.5%, while imports instead amounted to over 1.41 trillion yuan, a decrease of 4.0%.

The balance of loans and deposits in financial institutions continued to grow rapidly. At the end of December, the balance of deposits (both domestic and foreign currency) in all financial institutions in the city, reached over 13.33 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%. 同比增长6.0%,2023年深圳GDP实现34606.40亿元

1月30日,深圳市统计局发布,根据广东省地区生产总值统一核算结果,2023年全市地区生产总值为34606.40亿元,同比增长6.0%。

工业生产平稳增长

深圳市加快建设具有深圳特点和深圳优势的现代化产业体系,稳步推进新型工业化。2023年,全市规模以上工业增加值同比增长6.2%,比1-11月加快0.7个百分点。

新质生产力迸发生机,深圳市主要高技术产品产量持续快速增长态势,其中,新能源汽车、服务机器人产量分别增长104.2%、36.0%。

“战新”产业动能充足,去年深圳市战略性新兴产业实现增加值14489.68亿元,同比增长8.8%,占GDP比重提升至41.9%。其中,软件与信息服务增加值规模突破3000亿元大关,同比增长23.8%。智能网联汽车同比增长38.2%,连续两年保持35%以上的增长态势。新能源同比增长13.5%,连续三年保持两位数增长。

全市社会消费品零售总额首破万亿元

2023年,深圳市社会消费品零售总额首次实现破万亿元,达10486.19亿元,同比增长7.8%。

加快构建优质高效的服务业新体系,深圳去年规上互联网和相关服务、软件和信息技术服务业营业收入同比分别增长12.5%和21.4%。

规上文化、体育和娱乐业营业收入达到2016年以来最高值,营业收入增速达到16.3%。从细分行业看,艺术表演场馆(增长108.9%)、电影放映(增长55.9%)、体育组织(增长54.5%)、游乐园(增长41%)等行业表现突出。

投资持续稳定快速增长

2023年,深圳全市固定资产投资同比增长11.0%。

分产业看,第二产业投资增长43.1%,第三产业投资增长3.7%。其中,工业投资增势强劲,增长43.0%。分领域看,制造业投资拉动作用显著,增长53.8%。

高技术产业投资活跃,高技术制造业投资增长64.0%,其中,电子及通信设备制造投资增长70.6%。

社会领域投资快速增长,其中,文化、体育和娱乐业投资增长29.4%,公共管理、社会保障和社会组织投资增长27.1%。

进出口增长态势向好

2023年,深圳全市进出口总额38710.70亿元,同比增长5.9%。其中,出口24552.08亿元,增长12.5%;进口14158.62亿元,下降4.0%。

金融机构存贷款余额保持较快增长。12月末,全市金融机构(含外资)本外币存款余额133350.52亿元,同比增长8.1%。金融机构(含外资)本外币贷款余额92140.89亿元,同比增长8.3%。
