A dazzling display of lanterns illuminates the night as historical figures from the Tang Dynasty, including "Yang Guifei," "Li Bai," "Tang Xuanzang," and "Gao Lishi," interact intimately with visitors in the bustling Tianhe Road, Guangzhou.

The immersive scenes unfolded during the opening ceremony and parade of Zhengjia Square's 2024 Tang-Style Lantern Festival on the evening of January 27th. The meticulously crafted Tang Dynasty character portrayals, immersive play "All Nations Pay Homage," grand "Parade of the Prosperous Tang Dynasty," along with lantern dances, drum performances, "Tang Style Kemusan Dance," and the dazzling "Thousand Lanterns" light show captivated numerous citizens and tourists.

Under the theme of "A Thousand Lanterns Illuminate the Prosperous Tang Dynasty," the event will run until March 15th, spanning important festivals such as Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, Lantern Festival, and International Women's Day. Inspired by the "Belt and Road Initiative," the festivities follow the "Silk Road of the Prosperous Tang Dynasty" narrative, blending imagination and creativity to recreate the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty with its spirit of "all nations paying homage and peace prevailing."

Thousand lanterns illuminate the new year with brilliance

The radiant lights take center stage at this year's Tang-Style Lantern Festival. Tens of thousands of lanterns adorn every corner of the shopping center, replicating the flourishing streetlamp scenes of the prosperous Tang Dynasty and creating picturesque locations for visitors.

The northwest entrance of Zhengjia Square features the spectacular "Fish Leaping Over the Dragon Gate" lantern corridor, showcasing classic scenes from the Tang capital Chang'an, such as "Pingkang Fang,""Imperial Academy," and "Wenchang Palace." Zhengjia Natural Science Museum transforms into the "Ancient County of Dunhuang," hosting the exhibition "Gathering and Build-Dunhuang Mural Copies Exhibition" with youth artists, retracing the brilliant culture of the Silk Road.

The fourth-floor atrium of Zhengjia Square is transformed into the mysterious and opulent "Golden Kingdom.""Symbolizing the prosperous city desired by merchants traveling the Silk Road during the Tang Dynasty, this utopian kingdom offers a continuous flow of camel caravans, captivating exotic performances, and the atmosphere of a flourishing era of song and dance."

Innovative fusion with over a hundred performances

This year's event serves as a showcase for outstanding Chinese traditional culture. Zhengjia Natural Science Museum becomes a stage for cultural inheritance, presenting experiences like Tang poetry recitation, traditional calligraphy, and traditional Chinese music performances. Timely shows within the square include the "Feast and Music in Chang'an" Tang-style parade, and performances highlighting Chinese trends and features of the Western Regions, such as "Dancing Garments Reflecting Azure Hues" and "Music Banquet of Tang Palace."

Notably, the ballet art troupe, previously awarded the Modern Dance Gold Prize at the Macao International Arts Open Competition's Chinese Division, will present the classic ballet "Four Little Swans" across various venues in Zhengjia. To enhance interactivity, the mall has assembled a high-profile NPC team, creating a grand "Encounter with the Western Regions" LARP.

璀璨花灯下，“杨贵妃”“李白”“唐玄奘”“高力士”“西域使团”……众多唐朝历史人物穿越到繁华的广州天河路商圈，与游客亲密互动。

1月27日晚，沉浸式的一幕在正佳广场2024新春活动“正佳大唐千灯会•西遇长歌”开幕仪式暨巡游活动中上演，现场高度还原的唐朝人物角色妆造、沉浸式《万国来朝》情景剧、浩浩荡荡的《盛唐巡游》以及鱼灯舞蹈、鼓舞、《唐风科目三》、“燃千灯”灯光秀等，吸引了众多市民游客驻足参与。

此次活动以“千灯耀盛唐”为主题，将持续至3月15日，跨越春节、情人节、元宵节、妇女节四个重要节日。此外，活动以“一带一路”为线索，以“盛唐丝路”为轴，融入想象力和创造力，重现“八方来朝、四海升平”的盛唐气象。

千灯璀璨点亮新春

璀璨的灯火是今年大唐千灯会的亮点之一。上万盏花灯布满商场各个角落，复刻唐朝盛世街灯如昼的盛况，营造一步一景的打卡胜地。

正佳广场的西北门布置了壮观的“鱼跃龙门”花灯长廊，焕然一新的广正街集齐“平康坊”“国子监”“文昌殿”等唐都长安的经典场景，重现唐朝烟火气。正佳自然科学博物馆则变身“敦煌古郡”，携手青年艺术家打造《聚沙成塔，华彩西来——敦煌壁画临摹作品展》，追溯丝绸之路的璀璨文化。

正佳四楼中庭被打造为神秘华贵的“黄金国度”。相关负责人介绍，黄金国度象征着唐代丝绸之路上，来往商客心中向往的富庶之城，“在这个乌托邦式的理想国度里，人们可以看到川流不息的驼商队伍，欣赏精彩绝伦的异域表演，感受歌舞升平的盛世氛围。”

百场表演创新融合

据介绍，今年的活动也是中华优秀传统文化的展示平台。正佳自然科学博物馆将全力打造文化传承的舞台，推出唐诗吟诵会、传统书法、国风演奏等多元体验；《宴乐长安》唐风巡游、国潮及西域特色表演《舞衣映碧霞》《唐宫乐宴》等也将在广场内定时上演，更有不时闪现的“骆驼商队”再现丝路传奇，给市民游客带来一场沉浸式的春节飨宴。

值得一提的是，曾获澳门国际艺术公开赛中国赛区现代舞金奖的芭蕾舞艺术团也将携芭蕾舞经典剧目《四小天鹅》闪现正佳各场馆，为增强互动感，商场还组建了一支高颜值NPC团队，打造“西遇长歌”大型剧本杀派对。
