Within the restoration laboratory of the Guangdong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, a team of restorers from the Palace Museum in Beijing collaborates with the restoration team from the Guangdong Museum to examine and restore several Guangzhou clocks from the Qing Dynasty, each bearing a history spanning over a century.

One of these treasures is a Gilt Bronze Transparent Enamel Flower Basket Clock that boasts an exquisite and magnificent appearance. Employing techniques such as bronze-gold gilding and translucent enamel coloring, this masterpiece embodies the fusion of Eastern and Western artistic expressions, representing the zenith of Guangzhou clock craftsmanship.

As one of the core members of the restoration team, Qian Haonan, a research curator and clock restoration specialist from the Palace Museum, granted an interview to a reporter from Yangcheng Evening News. Through the exploration of the Gilt Bronze Transparent Enamel Flower Basket Clock, Qian delved into the rich symbolism and the extraordinary craftsmanship of Guangzhou clock artisans throughout history.

在广东省文物保护科技中心的文物修复室里，来自北京故宫博物院的古钟表修复师正与广东省博物馆的修复团队一道，为几件有着上百年历史的清代广钟进行检查和修复。

铜胎鎏金透明珐琅花篮座钟是其中一件，它有着精巧华丽的外形，整体采用了铜胎鎏金、透明珐琅等工艺装饰，并运用了中西合璧的艺术表现手法，是广钟技艺处于巅峰时期的一件代表作。

作为修复团队的核心成员之一，故宫博物院研究馆员、古钟表修复师亓昊楠接受了羊城晚报记者专访，通过铜胎鎏金透明珐琅花篮座钟解读历史上广钟的丰富内涵与广州工匠的精湛技艺。
