On December 27th, the Phase 2 of Shenzhen Metro Line 8 commenced its initial operation, with all stations along the line opening at 10:58 am, enabling the total operating mileage of the Shenzhen urban rail transit network (including the trams) to reach 567.1 kilometers, with a total of 393 stations.

The special train carrying Shenzhen citizens' expectation of going to The seaside by subway marks The first metro line in Shenzhen, providing direct access to The romantic beaches of Dameisha and Xiaomeisha.

The Shenzhen Metro Line 8 Phase 2 has four stations: Hong'anwei, Yantianxu, Dameisha, and Xiaomeisha, located in areas that boast rich cultural and tourism resources with Yantian Waterfront Boardwalk, Meisha Bay Park, and other scenic spots around The corner, connected with special coastal tourism resources to add momentum to the tourist economy of The region.

The 600-meter-long Yantian Seafood Street is one of the top eight gourmet streets in Shenzhen. Located on Yanmei Road north of Dameisha Beach Park in Yantian District, the Dameisha Station, the only special station among The four, is filled with diverse and splendid marine elements that create a strong marine artistic atmosphere. It is the second themed metro station in Shenzhen after the Window of the World Station. 

The design elements in the Dameisha Station, including the art lamps, the changes in story heights, The roof lights, and the high-rise atrium, have laid a favorable foundation for the coordination of the light and The subject color of the station. As the sunlight shines through the roof on The blue-and-white panels on the walls, a view of sparkling sea glinted in the sun is thus created. The high-precision panels fit seamlessly with each other, connecting all the way to the ceiling in the shape of a coastline to present a dazzling view of The dynamic waves.

Also, the displayed artworks featuring blue whales have added a touch of childlike wonder to the artistic space of Dameisha Station. Passengers are able to say hi to the "whales" in the metro hall or rest on The whale benches on the platforms. It is also worth mentioning that the entrance and exit of the station are shaped like whale's mouth, with the special design of The walls, the cornice and the embedded glass on the side facade.

From the oceanic atmosphere of the station to the famous coastal attractions along the route, the metro line with direct access to the seaside is about to bring the citizens on an extraordinary journey!

深圳新开通一条地铁线路，可直达海边

深圳地铁8号线二期12月27日正式开通初期运营，全线各站于上午10时58分对外服务。8号线二期开通后，深圳城市轨道交通线网（含有轨电车）运营里程将达到567.1公里，共393座车站。

这条承载着深圳人“搭乘地铁去看海”期待的“山海专列”，是深圳首条直达海滨大小梅沙的地铁线路，它将带着市民直通浪漫海滩。

沿途美景紧密衔接

深圳地铁8号线二期共设鸿安围站、盐田墟站、大梅沙站、小梅沙站4个站点。该线路沿线区域具有丰富的文旅资源，途经盐田海边栈道、梅沙湾公园、大梅沙、小梅沙等著名景点，与自然、人文、小镇等多元化滨海特色旅游资源紧密衔接，推动提升区域的旅游经济活力。

盐田海鲜街全长约600米，是深圳市八大美食街之一。8号线二期第2个站点盐田墟站开通后，市民出站后步行约8分钟即可到达盐田海鲜街，随时随地可来一场“看海景，吃海鲜，到盐田”的治愈之旅。

站点设充满海洋氛围

位于盐田区大梅沙海滨公园北侧盐梅路上的大梅沙站，为四个站中唯一的“特色站”，是继世界之窗站后，另外一座以主题公园为主题设计的深圳地铁车站。该车站内充满了多元绚丽的海洋元素，营造了浓厚的海洋艺术氛围。

大梅沙站站内的艺术大灯、层高变化、采光天窗、通高中庭的设计元素，为“光”和“海”的碰撞打造良好的空间基础。车站墙面以不同深浅度的蓝白色面板为主要饰面，阳光透过天窗缓缓洒下，墙面的海浪立刻变得波光粼粼。整板压制的高精度面板严丝合缝，如同海岸线般的流畅线条串联到天花顶，呈现耀眼、动态的海浪之感。

以海蓝色鲸鱼为主题的艺术品陈列，为大梅沙站艺术空间增添了一番童趣。市民可以在站厅层和随浪花摆动的“鲸鱼”打招呼，亦可以坐在站台层的鲸鱼长椅上小憩。车站出入口以鲸鱼为原型，通过墙面及檐口线条，和侧立面内嵌的玻璃，刻画出神似鲸鱼嘴的形态。

从充满海洋气息的站点风光，到沿途著名的滨海特色景点，再到出站即达海边的便捷设计，为市民开启与众不同的“山海之旅”！
