On the morning of  December 4^th, the opening ceremony of the 2023 Imperial Springs International Forum  kicked off at the Congdu International Convention Center in Guangzhou. The forum aims to delve into important topics in various fields, such as world peace, economic development, and cultural exchange, and promote regional and global cooperation. It serves as a new high-end platform for in-depth communication between China and the world.

This year's forum takes the theme of "Multilateralism: More Exchanges, More Inclusiveness and Cooperation". Over 130 guests from more than 40 countries in the political, academic, and business sectors are attending, including over 30 former heads of state, government leaders, and heads of international organizations, as well as more than 60 renowned experts, scholars, and diplomatic envoys. The forum will focus on important topics including "Global Strategic Stability," "Driving Economic Recovery and Global Cooperation," "Global Challenges and Solutions," "Climate Change and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development," "The Global Development, Security and Civilization Initiatives" and "Development of the Belt and Road Initiative and Promoting the Building of a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity," "Friendly People-to-People Exchanges and the Future Development of the World", and "Multilateralism and Reforming Global Governance."

"The current forum is in line with the principles of dialogue, communication, and promotion of multilateralism. It aims to enhance global development by fostering cooperative dialogue and injecting more momentum into the world," said Danilo Turke, President of the World Leadership Alliance, at the opening ceremony.

During his speech, he mentioned the significance of an all-encompassing world through a specific process and approach. Given the existence of numerous shared challenges that necessitate global responses, it is worth underscoring the importance of international solidarity and restoring confidence and mutual trust.

The president particularly highlighted that Guangzhou is a vibrant economic and cultural center. When visiting Guangzhou, one can feel the thriving vitality of Guangdong Province and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which provides a new perspective for global cooperation. Only through cooperation can all people better overcome common challenges, which is why platforms like the Imperial Springs International Forum are essential for exchanges.

Valdis Zatlers, former President of Latvia, Co-Chairman of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center[Tc9], and former President of the World Leadership Alliance, pointed out that each country is an independent sovereign state, and every member state of the United Nations should receive the respect it deserves. Multilateralism is facing many challenges, and China has been committed to upholding multilateralism in order to achieve respect for any sovereign country. China adheres to multilateralism and engages in dialogue and cooperation with other countries in a friendly manner, which is precisely the goal that the Imperial Springs International Forum aims to achieve.

Zhou Zerong, President of Australia China Friendship and Exchange Association Inc., President of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Leadership Alliance and Co-Chairman of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, expressed that on December 5th, the Greater Bay Area has become one of the most economically vibrant regions in the world and a fertile ground for multinational companies' investments. The current Imperial Springs International Forum is the first face-to-face meeting of the "Congdu Friend Circle" after the pandemic, and he wishes the forum great success.

世界领袖联盟主席：广州充满活力，为国际合作提供了新视角

12月4日上午，“2023从都国际论坛”开幕式在广州从都国际会议中心举行。论坛旨在深入探讨世界和平、经济发展和文化交流等各领域的重要议题，推动区域和全球合作，是中国与世界深度交流的新型高端平台。

今年的论坛将以“多边主义：更多交流、更多包容、更多合作”为主题，来自40多个国家的130多位政界、学界和商界等领域的嘉宾参加论坛，其中包括30多位前国家元首、政府首脑和国际组织负责人，60多位知名专家学者、外交使节。论坛将聚焦“全球战略稳定”“推动经济复苏与全球合作”“全球性挑战与应对”“气候变化，实现2030年可持续发展议程”“‘三大全球倡议’与共建‘一带一路’倡议，推动构建人类命运共同体”“民间友好交往与世界未来发展”“多边主义与全球治理变革”等重要议题。

“本届论坛延续了致力于对话交流、倡导多边主义的精神，将通过合作对话，给世界注入更多的发展动能。”世界领袖联盟主席达尼洛·图尔克在开幕式上表示。

他还提到，要用一定的程序和方法去推进一个包容性的世界。当前有很多共同挑战需要全球应对，所以一定要强调国际团结的重要性，要重振信心，互相信任。

他还特别说道，广州是一个充满活力的经济文化中心，来到广州，可以感受到广东省、粤港澳大湾区的蓬勃活力，这也给世界性的合作提供了一个新视角。通过合作才能更好地克服共同挑战，所以必须有从都国际论坛这样的平台开展交流。

拉脱维亚前总统、尼扎米·甘伽维国际中心共同主席、世界领袖联盟前主席瓦伊拉·弗赖贝加则指出，每个国家都是独立主权国家，每一个联合国成员国都应受到应有的尊重，多边主义正面临着诸多挑战，而中国一直致力于维护多边主义，以期实现对于任一主权国家的尊重。中国秉持多边主义，友好与他国开展对话与合作，这正是从都国际论坛所要实现的目标。

澳中友好交流协会会长、世界领袖联盟亚太区主席、尼扎米·甘伽维国际中心全球联合主席周泽荣则表示，今天的大湾区已经成为全球最有经济活力的地区之一，是跨国企业的投资沃土，今年的从都国际论坛是“从都朋友圈”在疫情后的首次面对面会见，恭祝论坛取得圆满成功。
