The 5^th World Media Summit panel sessions"Bolstering Confidence: Media's Role in Promoting Human Development and Security" and "Embracing Changes: Media's Response to New Technological Opportunities and Challenges" were held simultaneously on December 4^th in Nansha District of Guangzhou.

Igor Menaki, director and editor in chief of Slovenija Insajder.com, gave his opinion on media’s shared responsibility in the disscussion. He mentioned that due to the influence of different cultural backgrounds and levels of development, the voices in some areas　cannot receive international attention. He believes that the media should work together to create a fair and objective reporting environment, restore the truth ,helping different voices can be heard, and promote peaceful coexistence among countries while respecting differences.

In a subsequent interview with Yangcheng Evening News, he mentioned that it was the first time in China and what he saw was totally different from the reports of his own country. He said that some Slovenia's major media reports are mainly rely on Western agencies, but they are not so objective. "I have only positive reactions and feelings about China now.I didn't expect that Chinese cities are so clean and Chinese electric cars are developing rapidly." He appreciates China's practice of using green plates to distinguish new energy vehicles from diesel vehicles. He believes that this approach may encourage more people to choose new energy vehicles, making environmental awareness deeply rooted in people's hearts.

12月4日，第五届世界媒体峰会广东主会场进行了分论坛议程。分论坛一、二以“强信心，共促全人类发展与安全；迎变化，共应新技术机遇与挑战”为主题合并举行。

斯洛文尼亚内幕新闻网总监、总编辑伊戈尔·梅纳基在论坛围绕媒体共同责任做了演讲。其中，他提到，受到不同文化背景、发展程度的影响，有些国家媒体的声音无法被国际关注。他认为，媒体要共同努力打造公正客观的报道环境，还原事件的真相，让世界不同的声音都能受到关注，推动各国在尊重差异的情况下实现和平共存。

在随后接受记者的采访中，他提到自己第一次到中国，对中国的感受与他在自己国家媒体报道中看到的完全不一样。他说，斯洛文尼亚一些大型媒体的信息来源主要是西方媒体，但是很多时候他们的报道并不客观。“我现在对中国的评价只有积极和正面的。我没有想到中国的城市那么干净，也没有想到中国的新能源电车发展得如此迅速。”他很欣赏中国用绿色车牌区分新能源车和柴油车的做法，他认为这样的做法也许会让更多人选择新能源车，让环保的意识深入人心。
