China has been Africa's largest trading partner for 15 years in a row. From 2000 to 2022, China built or upgraded over 10,000 kilometers of railways, and nearly 100,000 kilometers of highways, laid 200,000 kilometers of fiber optic cables, and constructed or upgraded nearly 100 ports, more than 130 hospitals, 200 schools, and 50 stadiums across Africa.
China has built more infrastructure in Africa in two decades than the West has in centuries.
These tangible benefits have shown African nations that China is indeed a true partner in their development.
