"This year, we made a breakthrough by providing automated serving tables for the Olympic table tennis events, replacing manual ball tossing with machine precision," said Liang Zhixiong, assistant to the general manager of Double Fish Sports , to a reporter from Yangcheng Evening News. "We also supplied 35,000 ping pong balls for the Paris Olympics, with specifications for roundness, hardness, and elasticity that surpass the International Table Tennis Federation standards , offering better stability and performance." According to Liang, Double Fish's sales increase by over 40% compared to 2023, bolstered by the Olympics and other major sports events like the 15th National Games .

"The Paris Olympics are driving up interest, leading to a peak in sports equipment sales. Our company has seen a significant increase in orders from European countries, particularly from France. Our orders are full for the year, with racket exports to France exceeding 35 million yuan in the first half of the year, a 40% increase year-on-year, expected to surpass 65 million yuan in 2024," said Huang Yuwen, deputy manager of Heyuan Angtai Composite Materials Co., Ltd. The company, which has been producing high-end composite sports equipment like tennis, squash, and badminton rackets for over 20 years, exports over 90% of its products to markets in Europe and North America.

"The impact of each Olympic Games is evident. Our cross-border e-commerce stores have seen a doubling of hits," said Li Xiangyun, who works in sports goods trading in Guangzhou. "Recently, we've been contacted by thousands of overseas buyers each month through our platform, with items like sun hats being in particularly high demand."

This surge in business reflects the vibrant Olympic economy for many foreign trade companies.

As the world's most-watched sporting event, each Olympic Games attracts billions of global viewers. Paris 2024 Olympics features 32 major events and 329 minor events, encompassing nearly all sports categories. “广东造”出海巴黎积极“参赛”

7月30日，乒乓球混双决赛，中国组合王楚钦/孙颖莎以4-2的比分击败了朝鲜组合李正植/金琴英，成功夺得金牌。许多观众可能没有注意到，在赛场侧面的裁判台上，有一个小小的发球机——它就是来自制造大省广东的产品之一。

“今年我们突破性地为奥运乒乓球项目提供了裁判的自动发球桌，让发球从以往的手抛变成机器抛球，精准度更高。与此同时，我们为巴黎奥运会提供了3.5万颗乒乓球，球的圆度、硬度、弹性等指标均高于国际乒乓球联合会的标准，重心更稳，弹性更好，击打效果更佳。”双鱼体育总经理助理梁志雄向羊城晚报记者表示。据梁志雄透露，在奥运会、十五运等体育赛事的加持下，双鱼的销售额同比去年增长了超过了40%。

“每一届奥运会的带动作用都很明显，我们现在跨境电商店铺的访问量翻了一倍。”在广州从事体育用品外贸的李湘云告诉记者，最近，他们每个月通过平台联系他们的海外采购商都有几千人，像遮阳帽等奥运周边供不应求。

这便是奥运经济火热下众多外贸商家的缩影。
