On the morning of July 30^th at 10 a.m., the departure hall of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport 's Terminal 2 came alive with the sound of lively gongs and drums. Accompanied by a strong and brisk beat, the Lingnan Lion Dance made a dazzling appearance. This spectacle was part of the "Come to Guangdong for the Summer Vacation" flash mob event, organized by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in synergy with the 144-hour visa-free transit policy . The initiative aims to boost the high-quality development of Guangdong's culture and tourism sectors, offering a warm welcome to global tourists visiting Guangdong for tourism and leisure vacations. The performers, with their powerful and passionate dance moves, offered a splendid feast of Guangdong culture to travelers from all over the world.

The Lion Dance, a quintessential Guangdong cultural heritage and a national-level intangible cultural heritage, integrates martial arts, dance, and music. Two spirited lions engaged in close interaction with the audience in the departure hall of the Airport, providing a captivating and interactive experience. Children were particularly thrilled, their laughter and joy reflecting the lively atmosphere of Guangdong's summer.

Mr. Wang, a traveler from Shandong Province, expressed his delight, "I've always seen the vibrant lion dances and Yingge dance of Guangdong online, and my children love it very much. So, I brought them to Guangdong for the summer vacation. I didn't expect to see it at the airport, which was a pleasant surprise!" This unique performance left an indelible impression on the travelers' journey.

Carol, an American Chinese teacher and an alumna of Jinan University in Guangzhou, was thrilled to take a photo with the lions. She expressed her fondness for China's intangible cultural heritage, recalling her first encounter with the Lion Dance while teaching in Myanmar and noting its popularity among foreigners. Encountering the dance once more in Guangzhou evoked a profound sense of familiarity and warmth.

Inna and her son Nikita from Mexico told reporters about their extensive travels in China, highlighting their recent five-day visit to Guangdong. They visited Guangzhou's Chimelong Safari Park and Water Park and enjoyed the International Circus , praising the local cuisine and expressing their willingness to recommend China, especially Guangdong, to friends back home.

In the coming month, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will invite other nationally renowned and influential intangible cultural heritage projects such as Yingge dance, Wing Chun , Choy Li Fut , Hakka Mountain Songs , Cantonese Opera , and Chao Opera to participate in more "Come to Guangdong for the Summer Vacation" flash mob events. These will be held at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport , extending an invitation to guests worldwide to experience the charm of Guangdong's culture and the warmth of its cultural and tourism sector.

岭南非遗在广东白云机场举行快闪活动

30日上午10时，白云机场二号航站楼出发厅响起了热闹的锣鼓声，伴随着铿锵有力、节奏明快的鼓点，岭南狮舞闪亮登场。这是广东省文化和旅游厅结合144小时过境免签政策，推动广东文化和旅游业高质量发展，在广州白云国际机场举办的“请到广东过暑假”机场快闪活动。表演者们用威猛、热烈的舞姿欢迎世界各地来广东旅游、休闲度假的客人，这别具一格的快闪活动为来自世界各地的旅客献上了一场精彩的岭南文化盛宴。

作为岭南最具代表性的非遗项目之一，醒狮是国家级非物质文化遗产代表性项目，融武术、舞蹈、音乐等于一体。两头南国醒狮在白云机场出发厅与旅客们来了个“零距离接触”，兼具十足的观赏性和互动性。特别是现场的小朋友们，与生龙活虎醒狮打成一片，欢声笑语让人感受到广东夏日活力。

来自山东的旅客王先生说：“一直在网上看到广东的醒狮、英歌舞很热闹很火爆，小朋友很喜欢，所以特地带小朋友到广东过暑假，没想到在机场就看到了，很惊喜！”别开生面的演出为旅客们的旅途增添了难忘的回忆。

曾在广州暨南大学留学的美国中文老师卡琳（Carol）忍不住和醒狮合影。她高兴地表示，很喜欢中国的非遗表演，她以前在缅甸当中文老师的时候就接触过醒狮，它广受外国人欢迎，再次在广州看到醒狮很有亲切感。

来自墨西哥的Inna和Nikita母子告诉记者，他们已经来过中国很多地方旅游，这次在广东游玩5天，去了广州长隆野生动物世界和水上乐园，还看了大马戏，这里的美食也很棒，所以很乐意向家乡的朋友推荐到中国、到广东旅游。

接下来一个月的时间里，广东省文化和旅游厅还将邀请英歌、咏春拳、蔡李佛拳、客家山歌、粤剧、潮剧等在全国范围内具有较高知名度和影响力的非遗项目，在深圳宝安国际机场、揭阳潮汕国际机场陆续开展多场“请到广东过暑假”快闪活动，诚邀八方宾客来粤过暑假，感受岭南文化的魅力与广东文旅的热情。
