What happens when graduation gowns meet cloud collars, horse-faced skirts, flower-adorned caps, cheongsams, and Zhongshan suits? When "Chinese romance" infuses graduation activities, it creates a unique and stunning spectacle.

From June 12^th to 13^th, South China University of Technology (SCUT) held its China Chic Graduation event at the Wushan Campus. The event, which combined traditional Chinese elements with graduation festivities, offered students free photo shoots in traditional Chinese attire and featured cultural performances, creating unforgettable memories for the graduates.

At the event, students eagerly participated, donning traditional Chinese costumes provided on-site, holding Chinese-style props, and wearing Chinese makeup. They captured the beauty and significance of their graduation moments in photos rich with Chinese cultural aesthetics.

Lin Yixia, a 2024 master's graduate from SCUT's School of Design, a Chinese culture social media influencer, and one of the event's main organizers, explained that the event included Chinese-style installations, performances, and experiences of ancient graduation rituals. Students were offered a full suite of services, including free traditional clothing, makeup, photography, and printing, to create personalized graduation photos steeped in "Chinese romance". "We hope this event promotes the appreciation of traditional Chinese culture within the university, allowing more students to experience and enjoy the beauty of Chinese traditions," said Lin.

The event also saw enthusiasts wearing their own designs and taking photos to commemorate the occasion. Lin Yixia herself wore a horse-faced skirt designed by her team for SCUT. "The cloud collar is embroidered with kapok flowers and carp, and the skirt is adorned with traditional architectural elements from our three campuses," Lin explained.

Han Yilei, a 2024 master's graduate from the School of Foreign Languages, experienced the blend of traditional Chinese elements with her graduation gown. She felt the new vibrancy of traditional attire: "This event showcased our unique Chinese beauty in many ways. Combined with the campus's classical architecture, the harmony of traditional Chinese style and elegance was striking."

"Seeing graduates in exquisite Chinese clothing gave me an unprecedented sense of ceremony and cultural pride. This isn't just a farewell to campus life but also a celebration of China's rich traditional culture," said Zhang Yuqi, a graduate student in mechanical engineering class of 2022. He plans to have his graduation photos taken in traditional Chinese attire as well.

At the event, a newlywed couple also took both their graduation and wedding photos. "We just got our marriage certificate today and came back to school for our graduation photos," they said. Holding their "little red book" and a large double happiness symbol, they captured this unforgettable day with their camera.

“中式浪漫”安排！华工为毕业生拍国风毕业照

当学位服遇上云肩、马面裙、簪花学士帽、旗袍、中山装，当“中式浪漫”融入毕业季活动，将会碰撞出怎样的风采？

6月12日至13日，华南理工大学国风毕业季活动在五山校区举行。活动以国风为媒，一方面为学生们免费拍摄专属国风毕业照，另一方面为毕业生送上国风表演，打造一场难忘的毕业季回忆。

记者在现场看到，参与国风毕业季活动的学生络绎不绝。学生们搭配并穿着现场提供的国风传统服饰，手持国风道具，画上中式妆容，拍摄出一幅幅富有中式风格色彩的毕业照，定格毕业的美好瞬间与重要时刻。

华工设计学院2024届硕士毕业生、国风自媒体博主、本次活动主策划之一的林伊霞告诉记者，活动置有国潮装置、国风表演、古代毕业仪式感体验，为学生们提供免费国风服饰、化妆、拍摄、打印一条龙专属国风毕业照服务，打造充满“中式浪漫”的毕业季。“希望以此带动高校中的国风氛围，为更多同学提供了解感受国风美、体验中式美的机会。”

现场有国风爱好者身着自己设计的传统服装打卡留念，林伊霞也穿上了团队推出的华工款马面裙。“云肩上绣的是木棉花、鲤鱼；裙子上面点缀的是三个校区的传统建筑元素。”林伊霞介绍道。

来自外国语学院的2024届硕士毕业生韩艺蕾体验了国风元素与学位服的花式叠穿，感受传统服饰的新活力：“这次活动多方面展示了我们毕业生独特的中国美，再加上校区古色古香的传统建筑，国风和华韵相得益彰。”

“看到毕业生们穿上精致的中式服装，我感受到了前所未有的仪式感和文化自豪感。这不仅仅是一次校园告别，更是中华优秀传统文化的传承。”就读于2022级机械工程专业的研究生张钰奇称，自己毕业的时候也要拍摄国风毕业照。

活动现场，还有一对新婚夫妇同时拍摄了毕业照和结婚照——“我们今天刚领完结婚证，就回学校拍毕业照了。”他们手中紧握“红色小本”和大幅喜字，用相机记录属于他们今生难忘的日子。
