On the afternoon of March 24th, more than 180 Chinese tourists boarded the Spring Airlines Flight 9C8771 from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Phuket, Thailand, embarking on a chartered spring tour.

Last year, Thailand announced visa-free entry for Chinese tourists, leading to a continuous surge in Chinese tourists visiting Thailand. During the New Year's Day holiday and Chinese New Year celebration in 2024, the number of Chinese tourists traveling to Thailand rebounded rapidly. In the first two months of this year, the number of Chinese tourists to Thailand exceeded 1 million, making China the top source of visitors to Thailand once again.

According to Mo Zhirong, the Chief Product Officer of the Guangzhou branch of Spring Tour, the charter flight to Phuket with Chinese tourists departing from Guangzhou achieved a full capacity of 100%, indicating the popularity of tourism in Thailand.

Moreover, Mo stated that Guangzhou, as the economic and cultural center of southern China, attracts global attention with its distinctive commercial vitality and profound historical and cultural heritage. Also, Phuket Island, Thailand, as one of the most popular vacation destinations in Southeast Asia, attracts thousands of tourists each year with its diverse natural scenery and abundant island culture. He added, "The launch of charter flights between China and Phuket not only provides more convenient and favorable travel options for Chinese and international tourists, but also promotes cultural and economic exchanges."

In response to the recent surge in inbound tourism to China, Mo also expressed a warm welcome to more Thai tourists to visit Guangzhou and enjoy the flowershere.

中国重新成为泰国第一大游客来源国

3月24日下午，180余位中国游客搭乘春秋航空9C8771航班从广州白云国际机场飞往泰国普吉岛，开启春游包机之旅。

去年，泰国宣布对中国游客免签，中国游客赴泰旅游持续升温。今年元旦、春节期间，赴泰中国游客人数快速回升。今年前两个月，赴泰中国游客数量突破100万人次，中国重新成为泰国入境游第一大客源国。

据春秋旅游广州分社产品部总监莫智荣介绍，此次从广州出发的中国游客普吉岛包机首发团航班上座率达100%，从侧面反映了泰国旅游的热度。

莫智荣表示，广州作为中国南部的经济和文化中心，以其独特的商业活力和深厚的历史文化底蕴吸引着全世界的目光；泰国普吉岛作为东南亚最受欢迎的度假胜地之一，其独特的自然风光和丰富的海岛文化每年都吸引着成千上万的游客。“此次开通两地旅游包机，不仅为中外游客提供了更便捷、优惠的出游选择，也将促进文化和经济上的更多交流。”

针对近期中国入境游复苏的火热势头，莫智荣还表示，也欢迎更多泰国游客来广州做客，到花城赏花。
