The 2024 Greater Bay Area (GBA) Flower Show is held from March 23rd to April 1st at the main venues of Shenzhen Bijiashan Park (Sports Park) and Lianhuashan Park, as well as the branch venue at Xiangmihu Flower Wonderland. Since 2019, Shenzhen has successfully held four editions of this grand show.

This current flower show boasts numerous highlights, including the first-ever Natural Goods Festival of Shenzhen, the integration of augmented reality (AR) technology in garden exhibits for the first time, and a profound linkage with commercial districts.

Covering an area of over 38,000 square meters, this year's flower show brings together more than 90 enterprises, universities, and e-commerce institutions from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, 11 administrative districts in Shenzhen, as well as from other countries globally. The main venue of the show is divided into six sections: enterprise gardens, Greater Bay Area gardens, urban gardens, mini gardens, university student gardens, and flower fashion shows. These sections showcase a total of 44 different types of gardens that visitors can explore.

Among them, the Greater Bay Area Gardens section comprises six exhibition gardens meticulously crafted by cities in the Greater Bay Area. These gardens showcase the advanced landscaping art, horticultural expertise, and unique urban charm of Hong Kong, Macao, Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, and Shenzhen.

The visual design at the event incorporates cutting-edge technologies like big data, AI, and IoT, positioning the flower show as internationally benchmarked, GBA-oriented, and Shenzhen-based.

In the Enterprise Gardens section, renowned designers from five countries, including South Africa, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, Australia, and China, have gathered to present world-class design concepts and landscaping skills. British designer Jo Thompson, together with researchers from Princeton University's Form Finding Lab, the University of Bergamo, and the University of Pegaso Campus, has utilized AR technology for the first time to create a display garden for this year's show.

The show organizers aim to combine an abundance of flowers with vibrant commerce to create a "Shenzhen-style lifestyle." To achieve this, they integrate the exhibition with consumer promotion activities. At Shenzhen Upperhills, which is located at the connection between the two main venues, there is a food festival for the 2024 GBA Flower Show in Bijiashan Park (Sports Park). This festival will feature collaboration among 18 food businesses, including Guangzhou Restaurant, Chef Tan's Kitchen, Wan Chu (Wan Kitchen), Shan Jiu Ye, Xi Niu Hui, Mojie, and Bao's Pastry, offering special dishes and limited-time dining discounts.
