The 2024 Guangzhou New Year Poetry Gala, with music as its theme, has invited poets, musicians, reciters, and other artists to creatively interpret more than 20 poems from ancient and modern times, both domestic and foreign, that possess musicality, to present a poetic and grand event to audiences.

One of the highlights of this year's Gala is the use of AI to create music On the spot. Music artist Huang Jihang is dedicated to exploring AI music creation and showcased the results of using AI to create music at the gala. He also demonstrated the differences between AI creation and traditional creation. A fresh new style of collaboration between AI and humans is truly impressive.

With AI technology, famous ancient poets Du Fu and Bai Juyi were simulated by AI to recite poetry on the scene, creating a brand-new experience for the audience. This combination of ancient poetry and modern digital art reproduced the beauty of the classics. After the recitation, the director of the gala Fu Wenyu specially invited recitation artist Wang Fei to "communicate" with Bai Juyi, implying that this performance is not just a solo act of AI but also a creation of the human soul.

Another digital artist, Lin Rungu, said, "The participation of AI in the gala makes us reflect on the new essence and forms of art in the digital age, and how traditional culture can be revitalized and widely disseminated through the power of technology." AI is not just a tool for reproducing traditional art, but also an innovative medium that can blend history and modernity, as well as different cultural backgrounds, to create new forms of artistic expression.

The Guangzhou New Year Poetry Gala was founded in 2008 and was invited to the Guangzhou Library in 2014. It has become a cultural signature of Guangzhou and a special way for the city to welcome the New Year.

2024广州新年诗会举行：AI与诗歌碰撞新玩法

1月14日，2024广州新年诗会以“音乐”为主题，选取了古今中外20多首带有音乐性的典范诗篇，邀请诗人、音乐人、朗诵家等艺术家进行创造性演绎，为上千名公众展现了一场富有诗意的盛会。

用AI现场创作音乐是今年诗会的亮点之一。音乐艺术家黄纪航致力于探索AI音乐创作，在诗会上演绎使用AI创作音乐的成果，同时也展示了AI创作与传统创作之间的差别，带来崭新的AI与人合作的新风格，令人眼前一亮。

利用AI技术根据古代画像“复活”的杜甫和白居易在现场读诗，也给现场读者带来全新的体验。这是古代诗歌与现代数字艺术的结合，重现了经典之美。在AI“复活”白居易后，诗会导演符文瑜还专门请来朗诵家王非与“白居易”作戏剧性对话，寓意着这场演绎并不只是AI的独角戏，诗歌还是人类心灵的产物。

另一位数字艺术家林润谷说：“这次广州新年诗会的AI参与，让我们深思在数字时代艺术的本质与表现形式如何被重新定义，以及如何通过科技的力量，赋予传统文化以新的生命力和广阔的传播空间。”AI不仅仅是再现传统艺术形式的工具，它更是一种创新的媒介，能够将历史与现代、不同文化背景的元素融合，创造出全新的艺术表达方式。

广州新年诗会创办于2008年，2014年应邀进驻广州图书馆，已经成为广州的一张文化名片，也是广州这座城市迎接新年的一种特别方式。
