On December 10th the 2023 Guangzhou Marathon, consisting of a full marathon and half marathon, with a total of 30,000 participants, kicked off with a gunshot at 7:30 am.

At its tenth anniversary, the Guangzhou Marathon this year attracted support from numerous prominent figures. World Athletics Road Running Manager Alessio Punzi expressed his praise for the event, while Olympic diving champion Guo Jingjing serving as the publicity ambassador, fired a shot to start the race. Alongside the race track, the adorable mascot "Lele" and the cheering squad danced together to cheer for the runners.

In this edition, a "facial recognition" system was implemented for the first time, with around 100 intelligent devices for identity verification of the runners throughout the race, so as to enhance the efficiency of the process.

For medical support, a total of 36 medical stations were set up at the starting point, the finishing line, and along the race track, including four additional stations for medical spray. 50 cycling rescuers with AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and 150 physician runners were stationed throughout the course with multiple ambulances waiting on-site to ensure the safety of the participants.

In terms of supplies, there were ten thousand packages for runners who finish the race distributed at the race site, which contains mineral water, functional drinks, canned porridge, pineapple cakes, bread and other items. Medals, towels and bananas were also provided for the participants at the race site.

With the sound of the starting gun, the runners pulled out all the stops to enjoy the exhilaration of running a marathon!

Persson, a participant from France who had participated in the Guangzhou Marathon twice, spoke highly of the city and the event and expressed his wish for the best of the city and the event.

After fierce competition, Moses Kibet of Kenya emerged as the champion in the men's full marathon, recording a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 2 seconds. Wu Xiangdong secured the top spot among domestic male full marathon runners, completing the race in 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 36 seconds. The women's full marathon crown was claimed by Guteni Shone Imana of Ethiopia, finishing in 2 hours, 28 minutes, and 20 seconds. While Zhong Jiameng became the first among domestic female marathon runners, completing the race in 2 hours, 41 minutes, and 10 seconds.

12月10日，早上7时30分，2023广州马拉松赛鸣枪起跑。今年广马比赛设马拉松、半程马拉松两个项目，赛事规模3万人。

十年广马，赛事迎来多位大咖助阵，世界田联竞赛与活动部路跑与大众运动负责人阿里西奥·磐迹为广马点赞，跳水奥运冠军、世界冠军郭晶晶作为本届比赛的宣传大使为广马赛事鸣枪，广马首次推出的吉祥物“叻叻”在赛道旁与八十名广马宝贝一起载歌载舞，为选手加油鼓劲。

本届赛事首次采用“人脸识别”系统，使用约100台人脸识别智能设备，在赛前领物、起点入场、终点完赛后对选手进行身份核验，提升选手入场效率。

医疗保障方面采用“固定+移动”模式，起终点及沿途共设36个医疗服务点，并新增4个医疗喷雾点，赛道沿途还有50名骑行AED急救员、150名医师跑者等保障选手安全，现场可见多台救护车随时待命。

物资方面，现场共有一万份完赛包，其中包括矿泉水、功能饮料、八宝粥、凤梨酥、面包等，现场还发放毛巾、香蕉等供应参赛选手。

随着发令枪响，跑友们全力以赴，享受跑马的快乐！

来自法国的佩尔松，此前跑过两次广马，今年是第三次跑广马，他盛赞广州城市和广马赛事，希望城市和赛事都越来越好。

经过激烈的角逐，来自肯尼亚的莫塞斯·基贝特夺得男子全程马拉松冠军，成绩为2小时09分02秒；吴向东获得国内全程男子马拉松第一名，成绩为2小时15分36秒。女子全程马拉松冠军由来自埃塞俄比亚的古特妮·伊玛娜夺得，成绩为2小时28分20秒。钟佳萌夺得国内女子马拉松第一名，成绩为2小时41分10秒。
