As of November 11th, 2023, the cumulative passenger volume of Beijing Road in Guangzhou has exceeded 100 million for the first time this year, creating a total revenue of over 16 billion yuan, which marks a year-on-year increase of 66% and 48% respectively. Compared with the same period in 2019, they have grown by 60.4% and 65% respectively, reaching a historic high in both passenger and business volume.
After successfully creating a national demonstration pedestrian street and a national-level nighttime culture and tourism consumption cluster, Yuexiu District is now at the second stage of pedestrian street transformation and improvement. It has transformed 15 inner streets and alleys, including Changxing Street, Gaodi Street, and Danan Road, and completed the restoration and decoration of the architectural facade and storefront of 137 merchants. It has also completed the construction of the Teemall B Zone and the renovation of NEW IN, while achieving the pedestrianization of the southern section of Beijing Road and the north and south squares of Teemall.
The main street of Beijing Road has been extended from 750 meters to 1,000 meters as the total length of the pedestrian area has been extended from 3.8 kilometers to 4.7 kilometers with an expanded commercial area of up to 636,000 square meters. At the same time, the street environment has been significantly improved, providing a high-quality consumer space to boost the development of the Beijing Road.
Currently, the total number of brands settling in the Beijing Road business district has increased from 750 to over 1,600, while the proportion of new business forms and new ways of consumption has increased from 38% to 72%, better meeting people's new demands for a better life.
Yuexiu District also continues to promote the traditional cultural activities of Beijing Road, such as the West Lake Flower Market and the Guangfu Temple Fair. This year's Spring Flower Market on Xihu Road has attracted a total of 1.52 million tourists in three days, with a total sales revenue of around 12.05 million RMB, reaching a historical high.
In order to ensure that wonderful activities can be held every week, Yuexiu District has been soliciting ideas for activities throughout the year, to select high-quality activities for the Beijing Road. This year has seen over 30 special cultural and tourism activities, such as the GBA Touring Roadshow of Macaw, "May Fourth" International Youth Culture Week, the Vintage Car Carnival, and the Window Theater by Guangzhou Youth Palace, and more than 50 pro-consumption bazaar activities, such as the Guangzhou International Food Festival, Fuxue West Street Night Market and the Spring Festival Shopping Market, being held in the Beijing Road, all of which have further boosted the consumption atmosphere in the business district.
Relying on the construction of Beijing Road as a national demonstration smart business district, Yuexiu District continues to optimize the smart management service platform in Beijing Road. With the establishment of a round-the-clock rapid response system for consumer complaints and a pre-compensation mechanism for small-scale consumer disputes, it has ensured the 300 shops along the street to be assigned a unique QR code, allowing visitors to access the merchant's credit file, make consumer evaluations and file complaints by simply scanning the code. In doing so, Yuexiu District has managed to reduce the average processing time of consumer complaints from 48 hours to 5 hours, effectively safeguarding the rights and interests of consumers, especially visitors from other areas.
In addition, the district has been accelerating the construction of smart consumption scenes on Beijing Road. By establishing the Mini Program and WeChat official account of Beijing Road, setting up the smart parking system, and introducing intelligent facilities and equipment such as unmanned retail vehicles, tour guide robots, security patrol robots and 3D dressing mirrors, it has managed to upgrade the smart service level on Beijing Road in an all-round way.
北京路步行街今年客流量和营业额双创历史新高
11月15日,羊城晚报记者从广州市越秀区获悉,截至2023年11月11日,广州市北京路步行街当年累计客流首次突破1亿人次,累计营业额超160亿元,同比去年分别增长66%和48%,对比2019年同期分别增长60.4%、65%,客流量和营业额创历史新高。
据了解,成功创建全国示范步行街、国家级夜间文化和旅游消费集聚区后,越秀区继续推进步行街改造提升二期工程,改造了昌兴街、高第街、大南路、文明路、泰康路等15条内街巷,完成建筑风貌修复整饰、市政铺装及主街137户商户的橱窗改造,建成粤海天河城B区、改造了粤潮楼,完成北京路步行街南段(大南路至泰康路)、北京路天河城南北广场的步行化改造。
据悉,北京路主街长度从750米延长至1000米,步行区域总长度从3.8公里延伸至4.7公里,商圈商业总面积扩容至63.6万平方米,街区环境得到显著提升,为北京路商圈发展提供了高品质的消费空间。
目前,北京路商圈品牌总数已从750家升至1600余家,新业态、新消费比例从38%提升至72%,更好地满足了人民的美好生活新需求。
越秀区更持续做强“非遗”西湖花市、广府庙会等北京路传统民俗文化活动品牌,今年西湖路迎春花市,三天共有市民游客152万人次,花市主会场总销售额约1205万元,创历史新高。
按照“周周有活动、月月有精彩”标准,面向全社会公开征集全年路面活动,遴选优质活动在北京路举办,今年以来已举办“感受澳门 乐无限”大湾区巡回路展、“五四”国际青年文化周、老爷车嘉年华、青宫橱窗剧场等特色文旅活动30多场,府学西街夜间集市、“迎新春购年货促消费”集市、广州国际美食节分会场等促消费集市活动50多场,进一步带旺了商圈消费氛围。
依托北京路全国示范智慧商圈建设,越秀区持续优化北京路智慧管理服务平台,建立24小时消费投诉维权快速响应和小额消费纠纷先行赔付机制,实现沿街300多家商铺“一店一码”,游客扫码即可了解商户信用档案、进行消费评价和投诉,推动消费者投诉平均处理时间从48小时降至5小时,有效保障了消费者特别是外地消费者的消费权益。
此外,越秀区加快北京路智慧消费场景建设,搭建北京路小程序、微信公众号,建立北京路智慧停车系统,引入无人零售车、智慧导览机器人、智慧安防巡逻机器人、3D试衣镜等智慧化设施设备,全面升级北京路智慧化服务水平。
