All the specialty foods of Xinjiang like Pomegranates, mutton skewers, Uygur flatbread, and mutton soup, can be found here. This is the Ancient City of Kashgar, located in the center of Kashgar, Xinjiang.

The Ancient City of Kashgar is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a 5A-level historical and cultural tourist attraction in Xinjiang. Walking through the streets and alleys of the Ancient City of Kashgar, on one side are the towering buildings of the new city, and on the other side are the ancient maze-like architectural complex. The clanging sound from the traditional blacksmith shop mixes the aroma wafting from the coffee shop. All of these create a feeling of traveling through time and space.

In another area of Payzawat County in Kashgar, the Populus Euphratica forest ecological park and the forest tourism ecological park are slowly putting on "yellow clothes" in autumn. "These days, the Populus Euphratica Trees are entering the Yellowing Stage, and if you come in late October, you can see the beautiful Populus Euphratica landscape," said Atiguli, a guide in the park, pointing to the forest of Populus Euphratica trees.

Due to long sunshine hours and large temperature differences between day and night, fruits in Xinjiang are well-known for their qualities. In order to increase the added value of Xinjiang fruits, in recent years, Guangdong has assisted Xinjiang and utilized the advantages of the plum industry in Payzawat County to create a full industrial chain park centered around plums, called the Guangdong-Payzawat Xinmei Industrial Park, leading the people of Payzawat to gradually embrace a new life.

When it comes to Xinjiang, besides the delicious fruits, another impressive specialty is the high-quality Xinjiang cotton. After the completion of the Dongguan Industrial Investment Holding Group's Xinjiang-supporting project, it has effectively promoted the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry in Xinjiang and has cumulatively created more than 4,200 jobs, helping 1,147 households and over 2,300 people in southern Xinjiang to get rid of poverty and become prosperous."We have more than 1,000 employees who have purchased cars", said Li Jiayun, Deputy General Manager of Dongguan Industrial Investment Holding Group.

In addition to increasing the income of the Xinjiang people, Guangdong's aid to Xinjiang reaches all aspects of life, benefiting from children to the elderly.

In terms of education, in Mingde Elementary School in Shufu County, Kashgar, various Guangdong elements such as Hakka paper-cutting, egg carving, shadow puppetry, and lion dance performances can be seen in many clubs, decorating the students' extracurricular life. If you love sports, you must visit Kashgar Basketball Park located in Xiaoyalang site in eastern Kashgar.

In the welfare park for retired Guangdong soldiers in Kashgar, 138 elderly people engage in activities such as handicrafts, calligraphy, reading, and painting according to their own interests after morning exercises.

In response to the problem of inconvenient medical treatment for residents in Kashgar, Guangdong has been organizing medical personnel to carry out "group-style" aid to Xinjiang since 2016. By establishing hospitals and sending medical professionals since the 18th CPC National Congress, Guangdong has contributed a total of 1,870 medical aid personnel, 9.18 million patient visits, and 350,000 surgeries performed.

喀什古城闪耀广东元素

红石榴、羊肉串、新疆馕、羊汤……所有新疆的特色美食都可以在这里找到。这里就是位于新疆喀什中心的喀什古城。

喀什古城是国家5A级景区,是新疆5A级历史人文景区。走在喀什古城的街巷中，有种穿越时空的感觉：一边是高楼林立的新城，一边是古老的迷宫式建筑群；一边是传统铁匠铺里传出的叮叮当当的敲打声，一边是咖啡店里飘出的阵阵香味……

而在喀什伽师县的另一处，胡杨林生态园和森林文旅生态园内的胡杨林正慢慢穿上自己的“黄新衣”。“这几天胡杨正进入变黄期，10月底来的话就能看到很美的胡杨景观了。”园内的讲解员阿提姑丽指着满园的胡杨林说道。

由于日照时间长、昼夜温差大，新疆的水果等农作物盛名在外。为了提高新疆水果的附加值，近年来，广东援疆利用伽师县新梅产业优势，打造了以新梅为主的全产业链园区——粤伽新梅产业园，引着喀什人民逐渐过上新生活。

提到新疆，令人印象深刻的除了鲜甜的水果，就是优质的新疆棉花了。东实集团援疆项目落成后，有力推动了新疆纺织产业转型升级，已累计带动兵地4200余人就业，助力南疆地区1147户2300余人脱贫致富。“我们有1000余名员工购买了小汽车。”东实集团副总经理李加云表示。

除了让新疆人民的钱包鼓起来，在生活的方方面面，从小朋友到老人，广东援疆的身影都不曾缺席。

教育上，喀什疏附县的明德小学里，客家剪纸、蛋雕、皮影戏、醒狮等广东元素遍布社团各处，学生们的课余生活精彩纷呈。如果热爱运动，那就一定要去位于喀什市东城小亚郎地块的喀什市篮球公园。

而在粤兵福利园内，138位老人则在上午运动过后，就根据自己的爱好进行手工、毛笔字、读书、画画等活动。

针对喀什地区居民看病不便的问题，2016年起，广东开始组建医疗人才开展“组团式”援疆工作。建医院、援医生，党的十八大以来，广东共派出医疗援疆人才1870人，诊疗患者918万人次、实施手术35万台。
