Video | "Belt and Road" traders converge on Canton Fair

On October 15th, the 134th Canton Fair kicked off with a flourish as international traders from over 200 countries and regions flocked to Guangzhou. There is a significant presence from countries involved in the"Belt and Road Initiative".

Data reveals that over the past decade, the proportion of traders from "Belt and Road" countries attending the fair has increased from 50.4% to 58.1%. Import exhibitions have attracted about 2,800 companies from 70 countries along the Belt and Road, accounting for over 60% of the exhibitors. This edition of the Canton Fair is expected to draw around 80,000 traders from countries along the Belt and Road, with 391 enterprises from 27 countries participating in the import exhibition.

Over the last decade, China's trade with countries along the Belt and Road has seen rapid growth, with the total trade volume reaching 19.1 trillion dollars. Trade with these nations has witnessed an annual average growth rate of 6.4%, surpassing the global trade growth rate during the same period.

As a seasoned attendee of the Canton Fair over the past decade, Basim from Bursa, Turkey, proudly displayed several fair commemorative badges on his credential belt. He shared with reporters that each year at the fair, he discovers new and exciting products, many of which turn into bestsellers in his home country.

Standing in front of a massive TCL television screen, Peter from the Middle East informed reporters that Chinese home appliance brands have gained significant popularity in the Middle East.

In recent years, exports of new energy vehicles, machine tools, and household appliances to countries along the Belt and Road have continued to rise.

At the Haier Smart Home's booth, the technology-driven design caught the attention of many. The representative from Haier Smart Home informed reporters that they have rolled out smart home solutions supporting the Arabic language in the Middle East, including intelligent kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms. In Thailand, Casarte has witnessed the establishment of its first smart home experience center.

As a long-time friend of the Canton Fair, CHIGO is participating for the 21st consecutive year. CHIGO has registered subsidiary companies in countries along the Belt and Road, such as Vietnam, Ghana, Kazakhstan, and Iran. Its air conditioning products now hold around 10% of the market share in these countries.

This edition of the Canton Fair has also provided more exhibition space for advanced manufacturing products, including new energy vehicles and machine tools.

Compared to the previous edition, the size of the electromechanical product exhibition area for the first phase of this edition's Canton Fair, which includes home appliances, consumer electronics, machinery equipment, and new energy, has expanded by about 3,000 booths, representing an 18% increase.

Data indicates that in the first half of 2023, China's trade in goods with countries along the Belt and Road reached 6.89 trillion yuan, marking a 9.8% year-on-year increase. Exports of new energy vehicles, machine tools, and household appliances to these countries increased by 163.3%, 49.7%, and 26.2%, respectively.

As witnessed by reporters, the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative is thriving at the Canton Fair. In the near future, the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will take place in Beijing, and the Sixth China International Import Expo will be held in Shanghai, further showcasing China's confidence and determination in its open-door policy to the world.

10月15日,第134届广交会大幕徐徐拉开,国际客商蜂拥而至——来自200多个国家和地区的采购商们前来采购,其中不乏“一带一路”共建国家的采购商。

数据显示,十年来,“一带一路”共建国家采购商到会人数占比从50.4%提升到58.1%。进口展累计吸引了70个“一带一路”共建国家约2800家企业参展,占比超过60%。本届广交会,来自“一带一路”共建国家的采购商预计将达到8万人,同时将有来自27个共建国家的391家企业参加进口展。

十年来,我国与“一带一路”共建国家的进出口贸易快速增长,贸易总额达到了19.1万亿美元。我国与“一带一路”共建国家贸易额实现年均6.4%的增速,高于同期全球贸易增速。

作为十年的“老广交”,来自土耳其布尔萨的采购商巴西姆向记者展示了他证件上的数枚广交会纪念徽章。他告诉记者,每一年来广交会,总会发现不一样的新产品,这些产品采购回去后,往往会成为“爆款”。

站在TCL的超大电视屏幕面前,来自中东的皮特告诉记者,中国的家电品牌如今在中东十分受欢迎。

近年来,新能源汽车、机床和家用电器对“一带一路”共建国家出口持续增长。

走进海尔智家的展位,充满科技感的设计引起了人们的关注。海尔智家展位相关负责人告诉记者,在中东非,海尔智家打造了支持阿拉伯语言的智慧厨房、客厅、卧室等智慧家庭场景;在泰国,卡萨帝落地首个智慧家庭体验中心……

作为广交会上的“资深老友”,这已经是志高参会的第21个年头了。目前,志高已经在越南、加纳、哈萨克斯坦及伊朗等“一带一路”共建国家注册了分公司。如今,其空调产品已经占据“一带一路”共建国家市场份额的10%左右。

本届广交会,还为先进制造业产品提供更多展示空间,其中的“重磅选手”不乏新能源汽车与机床等。

与上届相比,本届广交会第一期家电、电子消费品、机械设备、新能源等机电产品展区规模进一步扩大,增加约3000个展位,增幅超18%。

数据显示,2023年上半年,中国对“一带一路”共建国家的货物贸易额达6.89万亿元,同比增长9.8%,其中新能源汽车、机床和家用电器对共建国家的出口分别增长163.3%、49.7%和26.2%。

正如记者所见,共建“一带一路”高质量发展在广交会上正呈现出蓬勃发展之势。不久后,第三届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛将于北京举行,第六届中国国际进口博览会将于上海举行,不断向全世界展示中国对外开放的信心和决心。
