A garden fete themed around the Mid-Autumn Festival kicked off on September 16th at the Guangzhou Cultural Center. The event provided an authentic and immersive experience for both locals and tourists, showcasing a traditional family reunion atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, such as traditional literati gatherings, live-action role-playing (LARP) games, Chinoiserie performances, Cantonese mooncake crafting, and a cultural exhibition to celebrate the millennial Mid-Autumn Festival.

The Guangzhou Cultural Center is the biggest cultural hall in China. It cleverly uses traditional architecture and landscaped spaces to showcase the beauty of Lingnan gardens. With many different themed garden areas, the center serves as a grand "living room" in the city that highlights the ecological features and cultural heritage of Lingnan.

Within the park, the public creates LARP game stories based on Mid-Autumn legends and historical tales. Here one can encounter figures from various dynasties such as Emperor Tang Taizong and big names like Li Bai, Zhang Jiuling, Su Shi, Ouyang Xiu, and Wu Bingjian. The game allows players to delve into Mid-Autumn narratives and customs, uncovering secrets and completing garden challenges. This innovative and interactive game accessible to visitors of all ages offers a unique and engaging way to experience historical culture.

Besides the game activities, a Cantonese mooncake cultural center has been specially established in the central square area of the Guangzhou Cultural Center with a literati gathering on the spot.

Step back in time with the gathering, visitors here were transported to an ancient market thousands of years ago, where they can take part in nostalgic folk games like pot throwing and archery, complete interactive stamp collections to exchange for cultural creative gifts and immerse themselves in the study and experience of intangible cultural heritage. All these help deepen their understanding of traditional Chinese culture and intangible cultural heritage.

The Cantonese Mooncake Cultural Center spotlights a super photographical spot designed into a giant glowing moon, creating an ambiance as if one were admiring the moon and enjoying mooncakes in a Lingnan courtyard.

Apart from the main event at the Guangzhou Cultural Hall, several sub-venues are sprinkled across the city. The public can choose to board the Guangzhou passenger vessel NANHAISHEN for a river moon-viewing cruise, or venture into public cultural spaces like the Lingnan Craft Art Hall to exchange skills and explore the taste of the reunion tradition for a wonderful experience during the Mid-Autum Festival.

逛雅集、玩剧本游……广州中秋游园会启动

逛传统中秋雅集、玩趣味剧本游、看古风表演大秀、学广式月饼制作技艺、观千年中秋文化展……9月16日，一场中秋游园会启动仪式在广州市文化馆举行，为市民游客带来一场传统中秋团圆味的沉浸式实景剧本游园活动。

广州市文化馆是目前全国最大的文化馆，运用传统建筑和园林空间的巧妙组合呈现岭南水乡园林的佳境，包含多组主题园林建筑，是富有岭南生态特色、文化底蕴的城市客厅。

在园区内，公众根据中秋传说和历史故事创作剧本游故事，与穿越而来的唐太宗、李白、张九龄、苏轼、欧阳修、伍秉鉴等各朝大咖不期而遇，共同探索中秋故事及中秋风俗，解锁闯关秘籍，完成游园挑战。这是一次以真人角色扮演互动游戏，革新传统的游览方式，让不同年龄段的游客从中感知历史文化。

除了剧本游活动，在广州市文化馆中心广场区还专门设立了中秋雅集和广式月饼文化中心。

中秋雅集区让市民游客仿如置身千年中秋集市，一边参与投壶射箭等怀旧民俗小游戏，完成互动收集印章兑换中秋文创礼品，一边了解、学习、体验非遗，加深对中国传统文化和非遗传承的认知。

广式月饼文化中心现场以中秋、月亮、团圆符号设计的超级打卡点——巨型发光月亮，让人仿如置身于岭南庭院中赏月、吃月饼的美好意境。

除了广州市文化馆主会场活动，多个分会场则点缀花城各处。老百姓可选择搭乘广州客轮·南海神号游江赏月，或相约走进广东岭南工艺美术馆等公共文化空间交流学艺，探寻花城各处中秋团圆之味，体验佳节奇妙之旅。
