Located in the southeastern part of Guangdong province, Jieyang is often referred to as "Lingnan's water city". The Rong River flows through the city, creating a picturesque scene that resembles a poetic painting. As one of the significant ancestral homes and habitats of Chaoshan people and one of the vital cradles and flourishing grounds of the Chaoshan culture, Jieyang is rich in historical and cultural heritages. Folk art and traditions are passed down through generations, attracting a multitude of tourists during traditional festivals.
