The "Enjoy a Happy Journey in Flower City—Guangzhou" event officially kicked off on February 10th. Over 70 well-known figures from the global tourism and social media industries gathered in Guangzhou for a five-day immersive experience of the local Spring Festival. These people are from 18 cities in 17 countries including Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Rome, Italy; Sydney, Australia; New York and Los Angeles, USA; and Tokyo, Japan. They would say that "Guangzhou's white cut chicken is so delicious," "stir-fried rice noodles with beef with chili sauce are amazing," "I've seen plants and flowers in Guangzhou that I've never seen before," and "My favorite thing about Guangzhou is its night view."

Kristina Corniel, a full-time travel blogger from the United States, described Guangzhou as an incredibly beautiful city. When she visited the new Guangzhou Cultural Center, she was almost in awe at every step. The pavilions, terraces, towers, corridors, and bridges, with their exquisite and open design, winding paths, and picturesque scenery, left both Kristina and many of her international companions in admiration. "The traditional Chinese architectural elements fascinate me deeply. I want to recommend that my friends come and see the ancient architecture and the art of the eaves in China. I have never seen such beautiful buildings in my travels in the United States and many other countries," she said.

Valeria Sizova, a model from Australia, used the words "flowers," "vibrancy," and "the blend of tradition and modernity" to describe her impression of Guangzhou. "The people here are very friendly. I would highly recommend visiting the Canton Tower and the Yunluo Botanical Garden. Unlike the tropical landscapes and palm trees in Australia, I've seen many plants and flowers in Guangzhou that I've never seen before, and they are truly stunning!" she said.

Blasco Marotta and Maria Cristina Di Totto, an Italian couple who have produced promotional videos for over 20 Chinese cities, found Guangzhou to be a very fashionable and modern city with a rich cultural heritage. Mr. Marotta noted that as the Flower City, Guangzhou boasts wonderful natural landscapes with plants and flowers, and the Cantonese cuisine is also very delicious, with a variety of flavors that are simply mouth-watering.

During the recent Chinese New Year holiday, there was a two-way exchange of celebrations between Chinese nationals and foreigners, creating a unique cultural phenomenon. Guangzhou, being one of the hottest destinations for inbound tourism, saw 46,000 inbound tourists during the holiday, with over 300,000 people entering and leaving through the Baiyun International Airport checkpoint, a 16.6% increase. More than 2,550 travelers benefited from the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, a 58.6% increase compared to the 72/144-hour visa-free transit entries. The Pazhou Hong Kong-Macao Passenger Ferry Terminal received nearly 15,000 inbound tourists, a year-on-year increase of 45%, including an 8% increase in foreign tourists.

70余名国际“文旅名人”深度感受花城春意

“广州的白切鸡很美味”“炒牛河配辣椒酱太好吃了”“我在广州看到了从没有见过的植物和花”“我最喜欢广州的夜景”……“广州过年·花城看花——2025国际旅游知名人士花城广州幸福之旅”活动于2月10日正式启动，来自荷兰阿姆斯特丹、意大利罗马、澳大利亚悉尼、美国纽约和洛杉矶、日本东京等17个国家、18个城市的70多名全球旅游业、自媒体行业知名人士齐齐打卡广州，连续5天沉浸式体验广府年味。

Kristina Corniel来自美国，是一名全职旅游博主。Kristina认为广州是一座非常美丽的城市，当她游览到广州市文化馆新馆，几乎一步一惊叹。亭台楼阁，轩榭廊舫，玲珑秀旷，峰回路转，这座风情浓郁的岭南建筑园林惊艳了Kristina和同行的许多国际友人。“中国的传统建筑元素让我深深着迷。我想要推荐朋友们有机会都来看看中国的古建筑、房檐的艺术，我在美国和许多国家旅游都从来没有见过这么美丽的建筑物。”

“花”“活力”“传统与现代交融”，来自澳大利亚的模特Valeria Sizova用这三个词来形容她眼中的广州。“这里的人非常友好，我会特别推荐朋友去广州塔游玩，也会推荐他们游览云萝植物园，不同于澳大利亚的热带景观、到处是棕榈树，在广州我看到了很多从没有见过的植物和花，非常惊艳！”

Blasco marotta和Maria Cristina Di Totto是一对意大利夫妇，二人曾为中国拍摄过20多个城市的宣传片。在Blasco先生看来，广州是个非常时尚、现代的城市，同时也极富传统文化底蕴。作为花城，广州的植物花草等自然景观十分美妙，粤菜也非常美味，口味多样，每一样都令人垂涎。

刚刚过去的春节假期，国人与老外双向奔赴，“交换过年”成为一景。广州作为入境游最火热的城市之一，根据官方数据，春节假期全市入境旅游4.6万人次，白云机场口岸出入境30余万人次，增长16.6%，超2550名旅客享受240小时过境免签政策便利，较72/144小时过境免签入境人数增长58.6%。琶洲港澳客运口岸入境游客近1.5万人次，同比增长45%，其中外籍游客增长近8%。
