The 136th Canton Fair is in full swing, and the "Food in Guangzhou" brand event is once again shining brightly. From October 12th to 16th, 2024, the Guangzhou Gourmet Week takes place at Haixinsha Asian Games Park, offering a grand feast with Michelin-starred restaurants, Black Pearl restaurants, long-established brands, and celebrity chefs from across the China and the world. Canton Fair attendees will be treated to an unparalleled culinary experience.

Since its inception in 2023, Guangzhou Gourmet Week has become an important platform to meet the demand for high-quality dining, to showcase and promote brand restaurants. This year, more than 100 top-tier dining brands, including Da Dong and Yong Fu, have gathered to offer consumers a one-stop culinary extravaganza. At Haixinsha, both locals and tourists can enjoy the scenic views while indulging in exquisite dishes, immersing themselves in Guangzhou’s unique food culture.

A long-time participant, Hakka Yu restaurant, is returning to the event with an array of traditional cuisine. They will set up three exclusive booths, where dishes like the hand-shredded salt-baked chicken will be freshly prepared onsite for guests to enjoy or take away. From October 13th to 16th, Hakka Yu restaurant will continue to serve this traditional delicacy, catering to the taste buds of eager food lovers.

At the opening ceremony, eight Black Pearl restaurants shared the stage for the first time, presenting a sophisticated gala dinner that highlighted the profound influence and dazzling charm of Lingnan cuisine. Zhang Xiangdong, founder of Da Dong, emphasized that Lingnan's rich culinary heritage has a global impact.

On October 14th, Lin Yumin, a well-known inheritor of salt-baked chicken, was invited to the event to discuss the cultural significance and historical roots of this famous dish. Hakka Yu restaurant also hosted the Salt-Baked Chicken Cook-off Grand Finale, where 13 contestants competed in a culinary showdown, and the ultimate winner was selected.

Throughout the event, music and food are combined to create an unforgettable atmosphere. Guangzhou Broadcasting Network's original youth cultural brand, "Instant Voice", along with over 10 young campus bands, rocked the stage, offering the best music festival in the Greater Bay Area.

This year’s Gourmet Week is held concurrently with the 136th Canton Fair, in conjunction with the Guangzhou Global Consumption Season. It aims to stimulate inbound consumption potential, thus boosting consumption. Guangzhou is set to enhance its integration of business, tourism, culture, and sports, welcoming international visitors with high-quality cuisine. Additionally, the city will host events such as the Guangzhou International Food Festival and the Coffee Culture & Art Festival to further enrich the global traveler experience.

Shopping malls, tourist attractions, and five-star hotels across the city are collaborating to create unforgettable travel memories with a distinctly Guangzhou flavor, covering dining, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment. As international buyers secure orders at the Canton Fair, they will also embark on a remarkable culinary journey in the city.

来广州精品美食周,一起“叹广州”!

第136届广交会盛况空前,“食在广州”品牌活动再度闪耀登场!2024年广州精品美食周于10月12日至16日在海心沙亚运公园精彩上演,汇聚全国乃至全球的米其林、黑珍珠餐厅、老字号及星级名厨,携手广交会客商,共赴一场美食盛宴。

自2023年创立以来,精品美食周已成为满足高品质餐饮消费需求、展示推广品牌餐饮的重要平台。本届活动吸引超100家精品餐饮品牌,包括大董、甬府等,为消费者带来一站式美食狂欢。在海心沙,市民游客可边赏美景边享美食,感受广州独特的餐饮文化魅力。

作为活动“老朋友”,客语带来丰富的客家美食,设立3个专属摊位,现场烹饪古法手撕盐焗鸡等爆款美食,供游客免费品尝或打包带走。10月13日至16日,客语摊位将持续烹制这道传统美味,满足广大食客需求。

开幕式上,8家黑珍珠餐厅首次同台献技,呈现精致晚宴,彰显岭南美食的深远影响和璀璨魅力。大董餐饮创始人董振祥表示,岭南美食文化深厚,影响全球。

10月14日,盐焗鸡传承人林裕民受邀出席,强调盐焗鸡的文化传承与历史积淀。当天,客语还举办盐焗鸡PK总决赛,13位选手展开厨艺比拼,最终评选出优胜者。

活动期间,音乐与美食相得益彰。广州广播电台原创青年文化品牌“即刻开声”等10余支年轻校园乐队齐聚现场,带来“大湾区最好吃的音乐节”。

本届精品美食周与第136届广交会同期举办,联动广州环球消费季活动,旨在激发入境消费潜能,促进消费增长。广州将加强商旅文体健融合,以高品质美食迎接全球客商,同时举办广州国际美食节、咖啡文化艺术节等活动,提升全球旅客消费体验。

各商圈、旅游景点、星级酒店等围绕“吃住行游购娱”,打造最具广州味道和商都魅力的旅行记忆。广大客商在收获订单的同时,也将留下难忘的美食之旅。
