On September 22nd, the 2024 Five-Man Boat Race kicked off in Nantou Town, Zhongshan, with 61 teams from various communities competing at the Nantou Water Sports Park, showcasing thrilling water sports action. This race is a longstanding cultural tradition in Nantou, dating back to the late Qing Dynasty. Now over a century old, it was included in the fourth Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2012.

The competition officially began at 9:30 AM with the sound of a whistle. Colorful smoke filled the air as the boats shot out of the water like arrows, creating splashes that electrified the crowd. Spectators cheered for their favorite teams, many capturing the exhilarating moments on their phones.

Team Sui Xi No. 6 expressed their excitement, having trained hard for months, especially during the last month of intensive preparation, and were thrilled to clinch the championship. They noted that in recent years, the five-man boat race has beenattracting more and more young participants, increasing its popularity and helping to keep this traditional culture alive, which they find very proud.

In addition to the intense races, the event featured over 80 types of specialty agricultural products from Guizhou Province. The exhibition not only familiarized attendees with high-quality goods from the Liuzhi Special District but also fostered collaboration between Zhongshan and Liuzhi, bringing more premium Guizhou products to Zhongshan consumers.

中山南头五人飞艇赛：水上“速度与激情”

9月22日，2024年中山市南头镇五人飞艇赛正式开赛，来自各社区的61支队伍在南头镇水上运动公园同场竞技，尽显水上“速度与激情”。五人飞艇赛是南头镇历史悠久的民俗文化活动，源于清末。如今，这项赛事已经传承了一百多年，2012年还被列入了广东省第四批非物质文化遗产名录。

比赛当天9时30分，随着一声哨响，比赛正式开始。彩烟升起，飞艇如同箭一般冲出水面，激起的浪花让全场瞬间沸腾，岸边观众纷纷为自己支持的队伍加油助威，不少人还用手机拍下比赛的精彩瞬间。

穗西6号的队员们兴奋地表示，经过几个月的刻苦训练，尤其是近一个月的高强度备战，终于获得了冠军。他们还提到，近年来五人飞艇赛吸引了越来越多年轻人参与，赛事的影响力也越来越大，能看到这项传统文化继续发扬光大，他们感到非常自豪。

当天，除了紧张激烈的五人飞艇赛，现场还展出了80多种贵州特色农产品。展销会不仅让观众了解了六枝特区的优质产品，还进一步推动了中山和六枝的合作，让更多优质“黔货”走进中山消费者的生活。
