Cultural innovation and industry integration highlighted at ICIF

At the Guangdong exhibition area, an AI poet named "Li Bai" enchants visitors with its creative verses and also serves as an informative guide; in Ningxia, VR glasses offer a journey through a millennium in the blink of an eye; Liaoning exhibition area showcases a majestic four-meter-tall mechanical dragon that actively interacts with visitors... As you explore the 20th International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), you'll encounter a cornucopia of the latest cultural products, with eye-catching "blockbusters" around every corner.

The main venue of this year's ICIF spans eight expansive exhibition halls, drawing over 6,000 exhibitors from across the nation. Here, China's rich cultural heritage is revitalized through cutting-edge and innovative expressions, propelling the ever-evolving cultural products to the forefront of the "mainstream." The advent of groundbreaking technologies such as artificial intelligence, the metaverse, and virtual reality has catalyzed a profound integration of "culture + technology" and "culture + creativity", giving rise to a plethora of new cultural products, formats, and experiences.

The ICIF, officially known as "China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair," highlights not only "culture" but also "industries." This dual emphasis indicates that the fair is designed to be more than just a stage for cultural innovation; it is also a thriving marketplace for the cultural industry, fostering the prosperity and development of cultural production, consumption, and trade.

For example, in 2003, the sales of oil paintings in Shenzhen's Dafen Oil Painting Village were 80 million yuan; after hosting a branch of the first ICIF in 2004, sales soared to 140 million yuan; and by 2023, the village's annual output value had reached an impressive 3.8 billion yuan. "The ICIF brings tangible economic benefits," said Yang Yanling, Director of the Cultural Development Center in Dafen Oil Painting Village, highlighting how the fair's influence has propelled the village to the forefront of the national market.

Over the past two decades, the ICIF has accumulated a transaction volume exceeding 2.8 trillion yuan, serving over 40,000 cultural enterprises and institutions. It has showcased more than 2 million domestic and international cultural creative industry products and facilitated over 70,000 cultural industry investment and financing projects. This year's fair is set to display and trade over 120,000 cultural products and more than 4,000 cultural industry investment and financing projects, with a record number of ancillary events.

The fair has introduced an e-commerce platform, "ICIF Purchase", for the first time, offering a seamless shopping experience with options for on-site pickup or express delivery. Additionally, the fair collaborates with top internet live streamers and local enterprise anchors to conduct live sales at the venue, providing exhibitors with enhanced trading opportunities. Notably, the "new trio" of cultural globalization, namely online literature, drama, and gaming, has ignited global interest in Chinese culture, and this year's fair has dedicated an International Cultural Trade Hall to showcase the diverse international outreach of Chinese culture.

In an era where cultural construction is highly prioritized, the ICIF stands as a beacon for the nation's cultural industry development and a vital engine propelling the industry forward.

文博会上新!折射文化与产业的“双向奔赴”

在广东展区,AI“李白”不仅能写诗还能当导游;在宁夏展区,VR眼镜一秒穿越千年历史;在辽宁展区,高达4米的大型机甲龙展现“社牛”本性……漫步第二十届文博会现场,你几乎能找到所有最新的文化产品品类,吸睛“爆款”层出不穷。

本届文博会主会场设8大展馆,全国超6000家展商争相来赶文化大集,在这里,中华优秀文化资源被现代感、科技感十足的创意表达“活化”,不断上新的文化产品成为真正的“顶流”。特别是随着人工智能、元宇宙、VR等新技术不断涌现,“文化+科技”“文化+创意”的深度融合正催生越来越多的文化新产品、新业态、新场景。

文博会,全称为“中国(深圳)国际文化产业博览交易会”。请注意,这里的关键词除了“博览”,还有“交易”。这也意味着,文博会不仅要成为文化创新的“大展台”,更要成为文化产业的“大集市”,引领文化生产、消费、交易市场繁荣发展。

举一个小例子。2003年,深圳大芬油画村的油画销售额为8000万元;2004年首届文博会大芬油画村分会场举办后,大芬油画村的销售额一下跃升到1.4亿元;2023年,大芬油画村全年总产值38亿元。“文博会带来的就是真金白银。”大芬油画村文化发展中心主任杨艳玲表示,通过文博会带动,如今大芬油画村市场规模在全国首屈一指。

数据显示,二十年来,文博会累计成交额超2.8万亿元,服务文企机构4万多个;累计交易展示海内外文化创意产业展品超200万种、文化产业投融资项目超7万个。本届文博会期间,超12万件文化产品和4000多个文化产业投融资项目将现场展示、交易,各种配套活动数量创历史新高。

本届文博会首次上线电商“文博购”,实现展会现场自提或快递发货的购物体验,与此同时,携手互联网头部直播带货达人及各地企业主播资源,在展馆现场进行直播带货,为参展商提供更多交易支持。值得一提的是,当前网文、网剧、网游文化出海“新三样”在全球刮起了中国风,本届文博会还围绕“新三样”增设了国际文化贸易展,向观众展示中国文化走出去的多元探索。

在文化建设摆在突出位置的今天,作为全国文化产业发展的风向标和引领中国文化产业发展的重要引擎的文博会显然蕴藏着更多新的可能——让文化愈发“出圈”,让产业加速“破圈”。
