Guangdong Qingyuan Rafting Culture and Tourism Season and the Guangdong Rafting Competition kicked off at the Gulong Gorge Scenic Area on May 20th, 2024.

Multiple international sports events will take place this year. To further enhance the competitive sports atmosphere, an Olympic star team, including Jiao Liuyang, 2012 London Olympic champion in women's 200-meter butterfly, Luo Yutong, champion in men's synchronized 3-meter springboard, and Chen Xiaojun, silver medalist in synchronized swimming, attended the event and took on the challenge of the world’s longest and highest natural water rafting course at Gulong Gorge.

"Gulong Gorge, with its high drop and many twists and turns, provides a world-renowned rafting venue. It’s really thrilling and fun, truly the greatest place for rafting. What’s more, with its high forest coverage, you don’t get sunburned at all while rafting." said Jiao Liuyang.

The international rafting course in Gulong Gorge was designed by global experts according to racing standards. It spans 6.1 kilometers with a drop of 378 meters, a top speed of 72 km/h, and a maximum slope of 9.5%, surpassing the average slope of 7.5% in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon. It has hosted numerous international natural water rafting competitions.

31 teams from cities across Guangdong participated in the game. After intense competition, Zhao Guocai and Yang Guixian from the Gulong Gorge team stood out with an excellent time of 13 minutes and 30 seconds, clinching the championship once again.

In addition to the thrilling professional events, a unique toy rafting race took place: thousands of adorable "Little Chicks" embarked on a joyful water adventure amid the lush landscape. The mascots, designed in the shape of Qingyuan Chicken, made their debut at the rafting event. In the end, 200 Little Chicks stood out, and their respective adopters received corresponding rewards.

One hundred qualified newlywed couples are being recruited internationally for a free tour in Qingyuan, which is one of the main highlights of this year’s Rafting Culture and Tourism Season. In mid-July, these couples will embark on a sweet journey, experiencing top-notch cultural and tourism resources such as rafting in Gulong Gorge and exploring the Beijiang River, savoring the charm of Qingyuan City.

到广东清远打卡世界落差最大的漂流赛道！

5月20日，2024年广东（清远）漂流文化旅游季暨广东省漂流大赛在古龙峡景区正式拉开帷幕。

2024年，多项国际体育赛事轮番上场，为进一步提高体育竞技氛围，由2012年伦敦奥运会女子200米蝶泳冠军焦刘洋、2012年伦敦奥运会男子双人3米板冠军罗玉通和2012年伦敦奥运会花样游泳亚军陈晓君组成的奥运天团，将亲临古龙峡国际漂流赛场，并亲自挑战世界最长、落差最大的自然水域漂流赛道。

焦刘洋在采访中说道：“古龙峡漂流作为世界知名的漂流赛场，整个赛道落差大、回旋多，真的很刺激、很好玩，不愧是漂流天花板。而且，古龙峡森林覆盖率很高，漂流一点不会晒。”

古龙峡国际漂流赛场是由国际漂流专家按照赛道标准精心设计，全程6.1公里，落差达378米，最快时速72公里，其最大坡降为9.5%，超越了雅鲁藏布大峡谷7.5%的平均坡降，多次承办国际自然水域漂流大赛。

31支来自广东各地级市的参赛队伍参加了本次大赛。经过一番激烈比拼，古龙峡代表队的赵国才、杨桂贤两位选手，凭借13分30秒的优异成绩在31支队伍中脱颖而出，再次勇夺冠军殊荣。

本次大赛除了有让人热血沸腾的专业组赛事，更有一场别开生面的水上角逐：上万只憨态可掬的“小麻鸡”在绿水青山间上演了一场欢乐的水上冒险之旅。以清远麻鸡造型来设计的吉祥物首次亮相于漂流赛事，最终200只小麻鸡脱颖而出，与之相对应的认领者将获得相应奖励。

全球百对新人游清远活动，也是今年漂流文化旅游季的重头戏之一。7月中旬，全球百对新人将来到清远开启甜蜜之旅，深度体验清远古龙峡漂流、清远北江等优质文旅资源，感受清远城市魅力。
