The Qingming Festival coincided with public holidays in Hong Kong and Macao this year, sparking a northbound traffic surge on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge starting from late March, reminiscent of a Spring Festival travel rush. According to statistics from the boundary checkpoint, from March 28^th to April 6^th, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port witnessed over 1 million inbound and outbound passenger trips and 170,000 vehicles, with daily averages exceeding 100,000 passenger trips and 17,000 vehicles. This represents a record year-on-year increase of 167.8% and 145.1%, respectively.

Shortening the distanceamongGuangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, the bridge has made journeys from Hong Kong and Macao to the Chinese mainland more affordable, promoting driving as a preferred option for high-quality cross-boundary travel. 

During holidays, short trips to destinations such as Zhuhai, Zhongshan, and Guangzhouwereparticularly popular among travelers from Hong Kong and Macao. Taking advantage of the pleasant spring weather, an increasing number of travelers from both regions choose to spend their holidays engaging in relaxing and enjoyable activities in the Greater Bay Area, such as mountain climbing, camping, and sampling cuisine. Data reveals that from March 28^th to April 6^th, the Zhuhai port saw over 740,000 travelers from Hong Kong and Macao, with nearly 110,000 Hong Kong and Macao vehicles, accounting for approximately 73% and 64% of the total passenger trips and vehicles, respectively. Among them, those engaging in "family trips" constituted the majority, comprising about 68% of the overall passenger flow, an increase of 25 percentage points compared to the same period last year, setting a new high.

The boundary checkpoint anticipates another surge in northbound travel during the upcoming Labour Day holiday, with the number of passenger and vehicle flows expected to reach new highs.

超100万人次！港珠澳大桥现“春运式”景象

今年清明假期与港澳公众假期相邻，从3月底开始港珠澳大桥再现“春运式”北上潮。据港珠澳大桥边检站统计，3月28日至4月6日，经港珠澳大桥珠海公路口岸出入境的客流车流累计超过100万人次和17万辆次，日均超过10万人次和1.7万辆次，同比增长167.8%、145.1%，均处于历史最高位。

港珠澳大桥缩短了粤港澳三地的时空距离，“港车北上”“澳车北上”降低了出行成本，驾车“北上”，成为港澳居民高品质跨境出行方式。

假期，以珠海、中山、广州为主的短途游最受港澳旅客热捧；他们趁着春风正好，相约爬山、露营、品尝大湾区美食……在轻松愉快中度过假期时光，成为越来越多港澳旅客的选择。数据显示，3月28日至4月6日，经珠海口岸出入境的港澳旅客超过74万人次、港澳单牌车近11万辆次，约占客流车流总量的73%和64%；以港澳居民“家庭游”为主的旅客群体成为口岸通行主力军，约占口岸总体客流的68%，较去年同期提升25个百分点，创历史新高。

边检部门预计，五一假期，港珠澳大桥还将迎来新一波“北上热”，客流车流有望再创新高。
