Following the implementation of the 24-hour visa-free transit rule and the full resumption of international transit flights, the inaugural direct flight from the Shenzhen airport to Cairo took off in the early hours of January 21st. This marks the third new international passenger route opened by the Shenzhen airport this year, following the launch of two new routes to Nha Trang in Vietnam, and Sapporo in Japan. Currently, the Shenzhen airport has expanded its international and regional passenger routes to 38 destinations.

The year 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Egypt. Shenzhen airport has successfully launched its first intercontinental route, connecting the city to Cairo with the newly-opened direct flight. This marks the first North African route and African route launched by a domestic city this year. The route is operated by Hainan Airlines and is scheduled to operate three flights per week, departing on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday respectively.

Situated at the intersection of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Egypt is home to Cairo, the largest city in Africa and the Arab world. The opening of the direct flight from Shenzhen to Cairo will create a smoother "Air Silk Road" between China and Egypt. With the introduction of this route, the Shenzhen airport and BRI countries have jointly established 23 national passenger routes and 14 intercontinental passenger routes.

As the outbound travel market for the Spring Festival becomes popular, the Shenzhen airport has recently opened two direct routes to Nha Trang in Vietnam, and Sapporo in Japan, providing more choices for citizens during the Spring Festival holiday.

The Shenzhen-Nha Trang route is operated by Vietnam's Vietjet Air, with three flights per week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. This route is also the first international route launched by a foreign airline at the Shenzhen airport this year. According to the responsible person at the Shenzhen airport, with the resumption of this route, Shenzhen airport can now offer direct flights to three cities in Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Nha Trang, with a weekly plan of more than 40 flights.

Currently, the Shenzhen airport operates over 210 weekly flights to and from Southeast Asia, ranking top among the Chinese airports. The routes connect 13 cities in seven countries in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines.

There is not only hot demand for outbound travel in Spring Festival, but also demand for winter destinations. The opening of the Shenzhen-Sapporo route provides convenience for more tourists to experience the winter beauty of ice and snow. This route is operated by Shenzhen Airlines and arranges three flights per week, departing on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Currently, the Shenzhen airport offers direct flights to Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo in Japan, with a weekly plan of more than 20 flights.

It is reported that during the Spring Festival travel rush, the Shenzhen airport will increase the frequency of international passenger routes, including Barcelona and Kuala Lumpur, and accelerate the opening of new international passenger routes such as Shenzhen to Fukuoka.

一周上新3条！深圳机场迎来新年首波国际航线开通热

继实施24小时直接过境旅客免办边检手续便利措施、全面恢复国际通程航班运行后，1月21日凌晨，深圳机场直飞开罗洲际客运航线首航，这是继本周深圳直飞越南芽庄、日本札幌两条新航线开通后，深圳机场今年新开通的第3条国际客运航线。目前，深圳机场国际及地区客运航线通航点增加至38个。

今年是中埃建立全面战略伙伴关系十周年。此次开通的深圳直飞开罗航线，是今年以来国内城市开通的首条非洲航线，也是深圳机场开通的首条北非航线和今年新开的首条洲际航线。航线由海南航空执飞，计划每周3班，周二、周四和周日各执飞一班。

埃及位于“一带一路”交汇点，首都开罗是非洲及阿拉伯世界最大的城市。深圳直飞开罗航线开通，将为中国与埃及两个文明古国搭建起更顺畅的“空中丝路”。该航线开通后，深圳机场与“一带一路”共建国家客运通航点增加至23个，洲际客运航线增加至14条。

结合春节出境市场火热，深圳机场近期还开通了至越南芽庄、日本札幌的两条直航航线，丰富市民春节假期出游选择。

“深圳-芽庄”航线由越南越捷航空执飞，计划每周3班，周二、周四和周日各执飞一班，该航线也是国外航司今年在深圳机场开通的首条国际航线。据深圳机场相关负责人介绍，该航线恢复后，深圳机场可直飞越南胡志明、河内、芽庄三个城市，每周计划航班达到40余班。

目前，深圳机场每周往返东南亚的航班超过210班，位居国内机场前列，航线联通新加坡、马来西亚、泰国、印度尼西亚、越南、柬埔寨、菲律宾等东南亚7国13个城市。

春节出境游市场不仅有“热”需求，也有“冷”需求。“深圳-札幌”航线的开通，为更多游客在冬季打卡冰雪美景提供了便利。该航线由深航执飞，计划每周3班，每周一、周四和周五各执飞一班。目前，深圳机场客运航线可直飞日本东京、大阪、札幌，每周计划航班量超过20班。

据悉，春运期间，深圳机场还将加密巴塞罗那、吉隆坡等多条国际客运航线，并将加快推进深圳至福冈等国际客运新航线开通。
