“In Guangdong, we can produce what others can't produce; we can produce faster, cheaper and with better quality compared with those who can," said Chen Yuehua, the relevant person in charge of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province. Chen Yuehua's confidence comes from the hard-core strength of products "made in Guangdong".

Guangdong is an important manufacturing base. It currently has eight trillion-level industrial clusters and can produce more than 13% of the world's new energy vehicles, 30% of mobile phones and smart home appliances, 50% of 5G equipment, 70% of commercial drones, etc. These all prove the power of products "made in Guangdong".

The formation of industrial clusters and the strong resilience of industrial and supply chains have brought new opportunities for high-quality development in Guangdong, becoming a powerful magnet for attracting foreign investment and foreign enterprises.

Foreign-funded enterprises are also making great strides in the strategic industrial development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, sharing the achievements of development with the Greater Bay Area. Currently, a bunch of major projects are being vigorously promoted.

In July of this year, the milestone celebration ceremony of 500,000 safe man-hours for the five million hectoliters annual beer project of Carlsberg Brewery (Foshan) Co., Ltd. was held at the construction site in Sanshui District, Foshan City. This factory, which received an additional investment of 462 million yuan at the 2022 Global Investment Promotion Conference, enjoys a total fixed investment scale of 1.492 billion yuan, making it one of Carlsberg's largest investments in China.

At last year's Global Investment Promotion Conference of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,Nicolas Poirot, President and CEO of Air Liquide China, a global industrial gas giant, took on a new role as a global investment advisor for Guangdong Province. Along with over 30 other advisors, he will assist in attracting more global high-end talents and quality projects to invest and develop in Guangdong.

At the 2022 Global Investment Promotion Conference of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a total of 853 investment and trade projects were signed, with a total contract amount of 2.5 trillion yuan. Among them, there were 814 investment projects with a total amount of 1.92 trillion yuan and 39 trade projects with a total amount of 579.66 billion yuan.

A year has passed, how are these projects progressing? According to the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, as of the end of October this year, out of 814 investment projects, 638 have started construction, with a construction rate of 78.38%. The total investment completed reached 413.381 billion yuan, with a progress rate of 21.53%. Among them, out of 200 foreign-funded projects, 163 have started construction, with a construction rate of 81.50%. The total investment completed is 102.367 billion yuan, with a progress rate of 22.17%.

粤港澳大湾区成为吸引外商的“强力磁石”

“在广东，别人生产不了的，我们能生产；别人能生产的，我们能够更快更好更价廉物美地生产。”广东省商务厅相关负责人陈越华说。陈越华充满底气的发言来自广东制造的硬核实力。广东是重要制造业基地，目前拥有8个万亿级产业集群，能够生产超过世界13%的新能源汽车、30%的手机和智能家电、50%的5G设备、70%的商用无人机等等，这些都证明了广东制造的效果。

产业集群成形，产业链供应链韧性强，为广东带来了高质量发展的新机遇，也成了吸引外资外企的“强力磁石”。

外资企业也在在粤港澳大湾区战略产业发展中“大展拳脚”，与粤港澳大湾区共享发展成果，当前，纷至沓来的大项目正在如火如荼推进中。

今年7月份，嘉士伯啤酒（佛山）有限公司年产50万千升啤酒项目50万安全工时里程碑庆典仪式在佛山市三水区的建设基地举行。这个在去年招商大会签约追加了4.62亿元投资的工厂，固投总规模达到了14.92亿元，是嘉士伯在中国最大的投资之一。

在去年的粤港澳大湾区全球招商大会上，全球工业气体巨头、液化空气（中国）投资有限公司总裁兼首席执行官柏昊天多了一个新身份——广东省全球招商顾问。他将与30多位顾问一起，帮助更多全球高端人才和优质项目来粤投资兴业、深耕发展。

在2022年粤港澳大湾区全球招商大会上，共签约投资贸易项目853个，签约总金额2.5万亿元。其中，投资项目814个、总金额1.92万亿元；贸易项目39个、总金额5796.60亿元。

一年过去了，这些项目推进情况如何？广东省商务部门介绍，截至10月底，814个投资项目中，已开工638个，开工率78.38%，共完成投资4133.81亿元，完成进度为21.53%。其中，200个外资项目开工163个，开工率81.50%，共完成投资金额1023.67亿元，完成进度为22.17%。
