From November 5th to 10th, the 6th China International Import Expo is being held in Shanghai. This is another important diplomatic event for China after the successful hosting of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in October.

As the world's first national-level exhibition featuring imports, the CIIE witnesses the ever-expanding opening of Chinese market to the world. Data shows that since its first session in 2018, the CIIE's circle of friends has been expanding continuously, with a cumulative intended transaction volume of nearly 350 billion US dollars, showcasing over 2,000 representative new products, technologies, and services. More multinational companies have strengthened their confidence in long-term investment and development in China.

The participating countries of the national exhibition at CIIE cover five continents, with 11 countries participating for the first time and 34 countries participating offline for the first time. In addition, nearly 300 Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders are participating in this CIIE, exceeding the previous sessions.

On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of China's reform and opening up and the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, the world focuses a lot on the CIIE. It means that, through this highly open platform, China will open up new space for global development, and create a new model for international economic cooperation.

An open China is an opportunity for the world. At this CIIE, more than 400 representative new products, technologies and services, such as environmentally-friendly tires, ultra-high accuracy coordinate measuring machines, and adjuvants for Drone pesticides, made their debut, providing more choices to improve people's life quality, and also driving China's and even the world's industrial transformation and upgrading.

At this year's national exhibitions, 16 out of 69 countries were the least developed countries. The CIIE provides important opportunities for these countries to export products, accelerate poverty reduction, and achieve sustainable economic development. As Pamela Coke-Hamilton, Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, commented, one of the most important ways to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is to promote sustained export growth for the least developed countries, and "the CIIE is actually part of this solution".

Over the past six years, the CIIE has continued to fulfill the commitment of "improving the openness of the Chinese market", constantly advancing specific measures for open cooperation, demonstrating China's openness in sharing market opportunities and promoting global economic development.

11月5日至10日，第六届中国国际进口博览会在上海举行，这是自10月第三届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛成功举办之后，中国的又一次重要主场外交活动。

作为世界首个以进口为主题的国家级展会，进博会见证着中国开放的大门“越开越大”。数据显示，自2018年首届以来，进博会“朋友圈”不断扩容，累计意向成交额近3500亿美元，展示了超过2000项代表性首发新产品、新技术、新服务。更多跨国企业坚定了在中国长期投资和发展的信心。

本届进博会国家展的参展国家覆盖五大洲，其中11个国家是首次参展，34个国家是首次线下参展。此外，本次参展的世界500强和行业龙头企业近300家，超过历届水平。

在中国改革开放45周年、共建“一带一路”倡议提出10周年之际，全球目光聚焦进博会，个中深意不言而喻：借由这一高水平开放平台，为全球发展开辟新空间，为国际经济合作打造新样本。

开放的中国是世界的机遇。本届进博会上，“绿色”轮胎、超高精度三坐标测量机、无人机专用飞防助剂等400多项代表性首发新产品、新技术、新服务集中亮相，全面呈现国际尖端前沿产品、技术、服务趋势，为人民高品质生活提供更多选择，也为中国乃至世界产业转型升级提供动力。

在今年国家展中，69个国家里面有16个是最不发达国家。进博会为这些国家产品出口、推动减贫进程以及实现经济的可持续发展提供了重要契机。正如国际贸易中心执行董事帕梅拉·科克-汉密尔顿所评价那样，实现联合国可持续发展目标最重要的途径之一是推动最不发达国家出口持续增长，“进博会实际上是该解决方案的一部分”。

六年来，越办越好的进博会持续践行“中国对外开放的大门越开越大”的承诺，不断推进开放合作具体举措，展示了中国同世界分享市场机遇、推动世界经济发展的开放胸怀。
