Subindo a montanha Yuexiu a partir do portão oeste do Parque Yuexiu, pode ver-se uma secção do que resta da Grande Muralha da Dinastia Ming, que é a mais antiga muralha existente em Guangzhou. As paredes manchadas e as superfícies onduladas contam uma história silenciosa dos anos de guerra. Esta secção da antiga muralha da cidade, com uma história de mais de 600 anos, testemunhou a expansão da muralha para norte, bem como o crescimento da cidade.

Climbing up Yuexiu Mountain from the west gate of Yuexiu Park, you can see a section of the remnant of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, which is the oldest existing city wall in Guangzhou. The mottled walls and undulating surfaces tell a silent story of the warring years. This section of the ancient city wall with a history of more than 600 years has witnessed the northward expansion of the city wall as well as the growth of the city.

从越秀公园西门登上越秀山，可以看见一段残存的明代广州城墙，这是广州现存最古老的城墙。斑驳的墙体、起伏的墙面，无声诉说着战火纷飞的年代，这段具有600多年历史的古城墙见证了羊城的城垣北扩，也见证了这座城市的成长。
