On October 28^th, the Guangzhou Statistics Bureau released the data on Guangdong's economy for the first three quarters. According to the unified accounting results of Guangdong Province's regional GDP, Guangzhou's GDP in the first three quarters of 2023 was 2,176.98 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%. Among them, the value added by the agricultural industry was 20.19 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1%; the value added by the industrial industry was 559.04 billion yuan, an increase of 1.7%; and the value added by the service industry was 1,597.76 billion yuan, an increase of 5.1%.

The industrial growth rate has gradually stabilized. In the first three quarters, agricultural production in Guangzhou accelerated, with steady growth in major agricultural products. The industrial growth rate has gradually stabilized, with a good momentum in the manufacturing of urban consumer goods.

In the first three quarters, the total output value of the city's agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery was 39.267 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%, an increase of 1.8 percentage points compared to the first half of the year. To be more specific, agriculture increased by 2.6%, fishery increased by 3.9%, and the overall growth was stable. The development of agricultural production services showed good momentum, with a growth of 10.5% in professional and auxiliary activities for agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery. Among the key agricultural products, pig production increased 12.3% in the number of slaughtered pigs and a 15.6% increase in column quantity. Fruit and aquatic production steadily increased, with an increase of 2.4% and 1.5%, respectively. Horticultural plants showed good growth, with a year-on-year increase of 8.2% for flower production.

The demand for cultural tourism has accelerated. From January to August (The same festival may be in different months every year), the city's major service industry achieved a year-on-year increase in operating income of 8.5%. The demand for cultural tourism drove the growth of the cultural, sports, and entertainment industry by 31.9%. The entertainment industry boomed. To be more specific, the movie industry, cultural and artistic industries and amusement parks achieved a year-on-year growth of 57.3%, 72.7%, and 2.3 times, respectively. The development of the cultural creative industry and design industry showed good momentum, with a year-on-year increase in value added of 11.5%.

The emerging foreign trade market is expanding rapidly. In the first three quarters, the total value of imports and exports in Guangzhou reached 815.35 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Among them, exports were 486.35 billion yuan, an increase of 18.5%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points compared to the first half of the year; imports were 329.01 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.7%.

Among various trade methods, general trade imports and exports showed good growth, with an increase of 20.6%, accounting for 69.3% of the total import and export value, an increase of 8.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The export of mechanical and electrical products increased by 9.9%, accounting for 46.5% of the total export value. During the same period, trade with emerging markets expanded rapidly, with a year-on-year increase of 16.4% in Guangzhou's import and export with BRI countries and a year-on-year increase of 19.4% and 32.4% in import and export with the Middle East and Africa respectively.

In the first three quarters, with the implementation of policies to stabilize economic growth, the production demand was stabilized and improved, and the emerging industries developed continuously. Guangzhou returned to being vital with its internal engines recovering steadily for high-quality economic development.

广州前三季度GDP同比增长4.2%

10月28日，广州市统计局发布了前三季度经济运行数据。根据广东省地区生产总值统一核算结果，2023年前三季度，广州市地区生产总值为21769.84亿元，同比增长4.2%。其中，第一产业增加值为201.86亿元，增长4.1%；第二产业增加值为5590.42亿元，增长1.7%；第三产业增加值为15977.56亿元，增长5.1%。

工业增速逐步企稳。前三季度，广州农业生产增长提速，主要农产品稳步增产；工业增速逐步企稳，都市消费品制造增势良好。前三季度，全市农林牧渔业总产值392.67亿元，同比增长4.4%，比上半年提高1.8个百分点。分行业看，种植业增长2.6%，渔业增长3.9%，增势总体平稳；农业生产服务发展势头良好，农林牧渔专业及辅助性活动增长10.5%。重点农产品中，生猪产能释放，出栏量增长12.3%，实现产值增长15.6%。水果和水产品稳步增产，实现产量分别增长2.4%和1.5%。园艺作物增势较好，花卉实现产值同比增长8.2%。

文旅消费需求加速释放。1-8月（错月数据），全市规模以上服务业实现营业收入同比增长8.5%。文旅消费需求释放带动文化体育和娱乐业增长31.9%。其中，演艺游乐经济火爆，电影放映、文化艺术业、游乐园同比分别增长57.3%、72.7%和2.3倍。文化创意和设计产业发展态势良好，实现增加值同比增长11.5%。

新兴外贸市场快速扩大。前三季度，全市外贸进出口总值8153.5亿元，同比增长7.4%。其中，出口4863.5亿元，增长18.5%，增速比上半年提高0.6个百分点；进口3290.1亿元，下降5.7%。各种贸易方式中，一般贸易进出口增势较好，增长20.6%，占进出口总值的比重为69.3%，比上年同期提高8.2个百分点。机电产品出口增长9.9%，占出口总值比重为46.5%。同期，与新兴市场贸易快速扩大，广州与共建“一带一路”国家进出口同比增长16.4%，与中东地区和非洲进出口同比分别增长19.4%和32.4%。

前三季度，随着稳增长政策落地显效、生产需求回稳向好、新兴动能持续发力，广州城市活力迅速回归，内生动能稳定恢复，经济高质量发展的动能不断积蓄。
