Young people experience journeys in many ways from 'travel squad' to themed travel

After the trend of "travel squad" that gained popularity for its super-tight schedule and low cost, young people have now turned their attention to themed travel with a certain focus.

According to a spokesperson from a content platform, with the emergence of new travel trends such as City Walk, City Ride, and Mountain Walk, themed travel has become an advanced version of these trends. It has now branched out into various fields and is gaining widespread attention from young travelers and theme clubs.

During this year's National Day holiday, a couple born in the 1990s, Liang Wei and her husband, took a self-driving trip from Foshan to Chaozhou. Liang Wei told reporters, "We spent four days there. We rode a small motorcycle borrowed from a local guesthouse owner, visited local food shops, and also explored craft ceramics stores and pottery workshops." She added that they not only found many great ceramic products but also had the chance to meet a ceramic master they both admired. "Coincidentally, we had brought the master's book with us, and we asked him to sign his name. It was truly a journey full of surprises!" Similarly, another tourist Wang Li planned a "Porcelain Tour" in China's "Porcelain Capital" Jingdezhen during the National Day holiday. After visiting local markets and designer shops, she said she gained not only many porcelain products and 'knowledge' from this trip."

It is reported that there are more and more young people like Liang Wei and Wang Li. On some platforms, local clubs targeting themed travel are emerging. They publish various activity information and invite young people from the same city to participate. Data from Dianping, a popular review Chinese platform, shows that since September, over 200 such themed travel clubs have been established, offering nearly a thousand related activities. The most popular search term is "Beijing Hutong Tour," with a 10-fold increase in search volume. Interesting themed trips have become the best choice for young people to relax and relieve stress during their holidays.

Themed travels vary greatly depending on the region, season, and target audience, going beyond imagination with their richness in diverse activities. For example, in addition to city-themed tours like City Walk visiting Hutong and architecture, there are also Mountain Walk featuring ancient village tours and countryside hiking in autumn, Family Tour focuses on traditional Chinese medicine and Night Tours that have been popular from summer to autumn. All of them have gained high popularity among different groups of people.

Night tours have sparked the interest of young people this autumn. Data from Qunar, a popular travel Chinese platform, shows that since October 14th, the sales of nighttime tickets for attractions in China have increased by 1.6 times compared to the previous month, with theme park ticket sales increasing by one time.

Among the many theme parks that have added nighttime special events, Universal Beijing Resort has seen a 5.7-fold increase in sales, while Guangzhou Chimelong Holiday Resort has seen a 3-fold increase, both leading the way.

"The travel trends of Night Tours, City Walks, and City Rides are particularly suitable for the cool and comfortable autumn," said a relevant spokesperson of a travel platform. Recently, many tourist cities have launched nighttime tourism programs. Since October, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Beijing, Suzhou, Chengdu, Guilin, Xiamen, and Wuhu have become the ten hottest cities for Night Tours.

从走马观花转入专一“主题游”,年轻人玩转旅游的多种新手法

走马观花的“特种兵式旅游”流行了一阵之后,年轻人又开始钟情于目的专一的“主题游”。

据某内容平台相关负责人介绍,随着City Walk(城市漫步)、City Ride(城市骑行)、Mountain Walk(登山徒步)等出行新趋势不断涌现,“主题游”作为上述趋势的“进阶版”,分支领域无限,正日渐受到年轻游客及各主题俱乐部的广泛关注。

今年国庆假期,90后游客梁薇和老公从佛山自驾去了趟潮州。“玩了4天,骑着从民宿老板那儿借来的小摩托,除了打卡当地美食店,就是往工艺陶瓷店、陶瓷工作室钻,”梁薇告诉记者,此行不光淘到不少好物件,还偶遇了夫妻俩都喜欢的一位陶瓷大师,“刚巧我们带了大师的书,现场让大师在书上签了名,真是一趟充满惊喜的旅程!”同样在国庆计划了一场景德镇“瓷器游”的95后王丽在打卡了当地的大小集市和设计师小店后表示,这样一趟游览下来,“器物”和“知识”都斩获了不少。

据悉,跟梁薇、王丽一样的年轻人正越来越多,在一些平台上,策划“主题游”的本地俱乐部应运而生——用笔记发布各类活动信息,招募同城的年轻人参与。大众点评数据显示,9月以来,这类“主题游”俱乐部新增超过200家,推出相关主题活动近千场,其中最火的“老北京胡同游”搜索量增幅达10倍。寻觅感兴趣的“主题游”,已经成为年轻人假日休闲、释放减压的最佳出口。

根据地域、季节、群体等的不同,“主题游”的活动分支无限,丰富度超出想象。例如,以City Walk为核心的胡同游、建筑游等城市“主题游”外,围绕Mountain Walk展开的古村落游、郊野寻秋游,围绕亲子活动展开的中草药游,以及从夏天火到秋季的“夜游”,都在不同人群中有着极高的人气。

“夜游”在这个秋天又激发了年轻人的兴趣。“去哪儿”大数据显示,10月14日至今,全国景区夜间门票销量环比上月增长1.6倍,其中主题乐园门票销量环比上月增长1倍。

在众多增设夜间专场的主题乐园中,北京环球度假区销量环比增幅达5.7倍,广州长隆度假区增幅达3倍,两者遥遥领先。

“夜游、city walk、city ride等今年热门的旅行方式,在凉爽舒适的秋天更为适合。”据平台负责人介绍,近期有不少旅游城市推出夜间旅游项目,十月以来,深圳、上海、广州、重庆、北京、苏州、成都、桂林、厦门、芜湖成为“夜游”最火热的十座城市。
