On the morning of October 13th, the press conference for the opening of the 134th China Import and Export Fair was held at the Canton Fair Complex. The 134th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15th to November 4th, and the online platform will also operate regularly.
Xu Bing, spokesperson for the Canton Fair, introduced that this year's Canton Fair has taken multiple measures to attract overseas buyers. First, the Canton Fair has strengthened cooperation with 224 Chinese embassies and consulates abroad and 68 foreign consulates in Guangzhou to promote the fair globally. At the same time, the Canton Fair has developed the Global Partnership Program, with the number of partners reaching 190, to jointly invite global buyers. What's more, the Canton Fair focuses on key markets such as countries along the Belt and Road, RCEP member countries, ASEAN, Europe, and the United States. It also invites the world's top 500 companies, the global top 250 retailers, and leading enterprises in key markets to participate offline.
Such efforts of investment promotion have achieved significant results. As of October 12th, more than 100,000 purchasers from 215 countries and regions have pre-registered for the Canton Fair. It is expected that the number of participants in this Canton Fair will increase significantly compared to the 133rd Canton Fair. Key market purchasers are actively participating. European and American purchasers have witnessed a growth of 8.6% in pre-registration compared to the previous session, while countries along the Belt and Road, 11.2%, and RCEP countries, 13.8%, respectively. A total of 97 industrial and commercial institutions from Europe, America, Asia, and Africa have participated in the group, with a growth of 86.5% compared to the previous session. Top companies such as Fortune Global 500 and global top 250 retailers have been actively participating, and 140 top multinational enterprises have confirmed their attendance. Many company groups exceed 100 people in size.
This session of the Canton Fair further expands the exhibition scale with a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters and 74,000 booths, including 72,000 for export and 1,550 for import. Participating companies reached 28,533, with an increase of 3,135 compared to the previous session, including 27,883 for export and 650 for import. Exhibitors are from 43 countries and regions, with 60% of them from countries along the Belt and Road.
Manufacturers and private enterprises are the largest exhibitors of this Canton Fair, accounting for 50% and 90%, respectively. About 4,600 high-quality enterprises participate, which also maintains growth in number. Such enterprises include "little giant" firms, single champions in manufacturing industry, National High-tech Enterprises, companies with Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Certification, national enterprise technology centers, and Chinese time-honored brands.
At the same time, the Canton Fair online platform operates on a regular basis, with a total of 28,653 participating companies, an increase of 2,115 compared to the previous session. In 2023, the Canton Fair Design Award (CF Award) received applications from 1,288 companies, with 2,284 products being evaluated. After evaluation by an external expert team, 141 products were selected as award-winning products and will be presented at more than 200 new product launch events both online and offline.
第134届广交会开幕在即,全世界10万多名采购商已预注册
10月13日上午,第134届中国进出口商品交易会开幕新闻发布会在广州广交会展馆举行。第134届广交会将于10月15日至11月4日在广州分三期举办,同时常态化运营线上平台。
广交会新闻发言人徐兵介绍,本届广交会在境外采购商招商方面采取了多项措施。本届广交会加强与224家中国驻外使领馆经商机构及68家外国驻穗总领馆的合作,全球宣传推广广交会。同时开展广交会全球合作伙伴计划,合作伙伴增至190家,与合作伙伴共同邀请各国采购商。聚焦“一带一路”共建国家、RCEP成员国、东盟、欧美等重点市场,锚定世界500强、全球零售250强以及重点市场头部企业,邀请更多大商线下参会。
全球精准招商带来了十分显著的效果。截至10月12日,已有来自215个国家和地区的10万多名采购商预注册。预计本届广交会到会人数将比第133届广交会明显增长。重点市场采购商参会积极,欧美采购商预注册人数较上届同期增长8.6%,“一带一路”共建国家增长11.2%,RCEP国家增长13.8%。已有97家来自欧、美、亚、非洲的工商机构组团参会,团组数量较上届同期增长86.5%。世界500强、全球零售250强等头部大商参会踊跃,已有140家头部跨国企业确认参会,不少大商组团人数超过100人。
本届广交会进一步扩大展览规模,展览总面积扩至155万平方米;展位总数7.4万个,其中出口展7.2万个、进口展1550个;参展企业28,533家,比上届增加3135家,其中出口展参展企业27,883家;进口展参展企业650家,来自43个国家和地区,其中“一带一路”共建国家参展企业占比60%。
生产企业和民营企业是本届广交会最大的参展主体,占比分别为50%和90%。专精特新“小巨人”、制造业单项冠军、国家级高新技术企业、海关AEO高级认证、国家企业技术中心、中华老字号等优质企业保持增长,约4600家。
同时,广交会线上平台常态化运营,线上平台参展企业共28,653家,比上届增加2115家。2023年广交会设计创新奖(CF奖)企业参评踊跃,共有1288家企业的2284件产品参评,经外部专家团队评选出141件获奖产品,将在线上线下举办200多场新品首发首展首秀活动。
