The 134th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou on October 15th. In order to smoothen customs clearance during the Canton Fair and optimize the existing international passenger clearance process, the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, together with the Guangzhou General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, held a conference together to interpret the 144-Hour Visa-Free Policy for foreigners on October 11th.

"With the 134th Canton Fair approaching, the 144-Hour Visa-Free Policy for foreigners will facilitate the entry and exit of foreigners who come to Guangzhou for short-term business negotiations, exhibitions, cultural exchanges, sightseeing tourism, and transfer to foreign countries. Also, it will bring considerable opportunities for the Greater Bay Area to optimize the business environment, promote the exchange of scientific and creative talents, and drive economic and social development." A person in charge of the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau said.

Temporary entry permit application service counters are currently available in the international arrival areas of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Baiyun International Airport. Passengers who meet the policy requirements with connecting flight tickets for other international flights within 24 hours can directly apply for visa-free transit at Baiyun International Airport.

It should be noted that passengers need to apply for a 24-hour temporary entry permit from China Immigration Inspection after landing at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport with valid passports or other international travel documents, connecting flight boarding passes, hotel reservation orders, and completed foreigner entry and exit cards. Citizens from 53 countries and regions with valid international travel documents, third-country visas, and confirmed dates and seats for onward travel to a third country or region within 144 hours can stay in Guangdong for 144 hours without a Chinese visa when entering China from Baiyun International Airport.

It is reported that in order to improve the customs clearance efficiency of exhibitors, the China Foreign Trade Center has set up a VIP channel at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to ensure entry customs clearance for overseas exhibitors of the Canton Fair. Exhibitors participating in the Canton Fair can enjoy fast and convenient customs clearance services by presenting their valid passports or other international travel documents, relevant documents of the Canton Fair, invitation letters or pre-registration receipts.

广交会期间外国人可144小时过境免签

第134届广交会将于10月15日在广州开幕。为做好广交会期间口岸保通保畅工作，优化现有国际旅客通关流程，10月11日，广州市商务局会同广州边检总站召开外国人144小时过境免签政策解读会议。

“在第134届广交会召开之际，外国人144小时过境免签政策，不仅可为短期来穗进行商贸洽谈、参加展会、文化交流、观光旅游、转机过境外籍人士提供出入境便利，更能为大湾区优化营商环境、促进科创人才交流和经济社会发展带来可观的发展空间。”广州市商务局有关负责人表示。

目前在白云机场T1及T2航站楼国际到达区域均设有临时入境许可申请服务柜台。符合政策条件且持有联程客票、24小时内转乘其他国际航班的白云国际机场旅客可以直接申请免签过境。

需要注意的是，旅客需在广州白云国际机场落地后，持有效护照或其他国际旅行证件、后续航班登机牌、酒店预订订单、填写完毕的外国人出入境卡等资料向中国边检申请24小时临时入境许可，来自欧洲、美洲、大洋洲和亚洲等53个国家和地区的公民，持本人有效的国际旅行证件、第三国签证和144小时内已确定日期和座位前往第三国或地区的联程机票，从白云国际机场进入中国时，可在广东停留144小时，无需中国签证。

据悉，为提高参展旅客的通关效率，中国对外贸易中心在广州白云国际机场设立礼遇专用通道，保障广交会境外参展客商入境通关。参加广交会的展客商凭本人有效护照或其他国际旅行证件、广交会相关证件、邀请函或预注册回执等文件即可享用快速、便捷的通关服务。
