Latest data of 'Golden Week' unveils Guangdong's strong consumption capacity

According to the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, various holiday promotions were held in Guangdong to boost the consumer market.

Monitoring data from the Department of Commerce shows that, during the "Golden Week" (from September 29th to October 6th), the cumulative sales of key trade circulation enterprises in Guangdong grew by 8.8% year-on-year, an increase of 19.3% compared with 2019; Among that figure, the cumulative sales of catering enterprises grew by 15.5% year-on-year, up by 15.5% compared with 2019.

Consumption throughout the province grew steadily

During the golden week, the national average daily consumption scale of service retail sales increased by 153% compared with the same period in 2019. Significantly, the consumption scale of Shenzhen ranked among the top five in the country, with its average daily consumption scale of service retail sales up by 62% year-on-year, demonstrating a strong momentum.

Shaoguan has received 2.42 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 95.38%, yielding a tourism income of 1.313 billion RMB, up by 130.18% year-on-year. A sound momentum was witnessed in the supply and demand of the cultural tourism market.

Dongguan has received a total of 7.25 million tourists, achieving a total tourism income of 4.923 billion RMB. Both of the figures have exceeded the level of the same period in 2019.

Business districts saw a year-on-year growth of over 80%

To boost consumption during the golden week, major business districts have launched a variety of theme activities.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, the total passenger flow of Beijing Road Pedestrian Street in Guangzhou hit 3.8 million, up by 71.8% year-on-year, with a total turnover of 532 million RMB, a year-on-year increase of 38.8%. The total passenger flow of the OCT Harbor PLUS exceeded 820,000, whose business turnover reached 81 million, an increase of 83% year-on-year.

The number of tourists received grew by 44.7% year-on-year

According to the preliminary estimates of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, the province received 63.862 million tourists in total during the golden week, an increase of 44.7% year-on-year, yielding the total tourism revenue of 57.16 billion RMB, up by 148.7% year-on-year.

Shantou has held National Day Yingge Dance tours and large-scale float parade activities, attracting nearly 200,000 spectators and over 120,000 overseas online viewers; Zhaoqing emerged as one of the hottest tourist destinations in the Greater Bay Area, receiving a total of 1.7702 million tourists, an increase of 53.5% year-on-year, with the tourism income of 1.652 billion RMB, up by 82% year-on-year.

2023 Shenzhen Innovative Auto Show achieved a turnover of 5.7 billion RMB

A series of activities were launched by Guangzhou to boost consumption in the car market, such as the car festival held by Guangwu Automobiles Trade Co., Ltd. in Foshan, during which the trading volume of new energy vehicles hit a record high.

The five-day exhibition of the 2023 Shenzhen Innovative Auto Show & Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference during the golden week has attracted a total of 386,900 visitors and achieved a transaction volume of 18,839 vehicles, with a turnover of more than 5.7 billion RMB.

Guangdong tops the country in average daily consumption of retail services

Data from Meituan and Dianping shows that, in the six days before the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, the average daily consumption of retail services in the province ranked first in China, with a year-on-year increase of over 50%.

Driven by gourmet tours and immersive in-depth tours, the consumption of cross-provincial tourists in tourism and catering in Guangdong grew by 470% and 300%, respectively, an effective promotion to local service retail.

记者从广东省商务厅获悉,中秋国庆假期,广东各地推出丰富多彩的节日促销活动,消费市场畅旺。

商务部监测数据显示,“双节”假期(9月29日至10月6日),广东省重点商贸流通企业累计实现销售额同比增长8.8%,较2019年增长19.3%;其中餐饮企业累计实现销售额同比增长15.5%,较2019年增长15.5%。

数据1:全省各市消费稳定增长

双节期间,全国服务零售日均消费规模较2019年同期增长153%,深圳消费规模位居全国前五,服务零售日均消费规模同比增长62%,迸发出强劲动能;

韶关接待游客242.35万人次,同比增长95.38%,旅游收入13.13亿元,同比增长130.18%,文化旅游市场呈现供需两旺的良好势头;

东莞全市累计接待游客724.56万人次,累计实现旅游收入49.23亿元,接待游客人次、实现旅游收入均超过2019年同期水平。

数据2:有商圈同比增长超8成

为刺激“双节”消费,各大商圈纷纷推出形式多样的主题活动。

中秋国庆假期,广州北京路步行街总客流380万人次,同比增长71.8%,总营业额5.32亿元,同比增长38.8%。佛山华侨城欢乐海岸PLUS总客流超82万人次,商家营业额达8100万元,同比增长83%。

数据3:全省假期接待游客同比增长44.7%

据省文化和旅游厅初步测算,中秋国庆假期全省累计接待游客6386.2万人次,同比增长44.7%;实现旅游总收入571.6亿元,同比增长148.7%。

汕头举行国庆英歌舞巡演和大型花车巡游活动,近20万人现场观看,超12万华侨华人通过网络收看现场直播;肇庆成为大湾区热门旅游目的地之一,双节假期共接待游客177.02万人次,与2022年相比增长53.5%,全市旅游收入16.52亿元,比2022年增长82%。

数据4:2023深圳车展成交总金额逾57亿元

广州市及各区联手出台多个车市消费刺激组合拳,如广物汽贸在广州佛山联合百家店推出了嘉年华购车节,不少汽车品牌的新能源汽车成交量创下新高。

2023深圳国际汽车展览会暨智能网联及未来出行汽车博览会在国庆期间为期5天的展期中,观展人数累计约38.69万人次,预定成交车辆合计18839辆,成交总金额逾57亿元。

数据5:广东省服务零售日均消费规模排名全国第一

美团、大众点评数据显示,中秋国庆假期前6日,广东省服务零售日均消费规模在全国排名第一,同比增长超过50%。

受味蕾游和沉浸式深度游带动,跨省游客在广东的旅游消费和餐饮堂食消费同比分别提升470%、300%,有效带动了本地服务零售。
