Shantou is one of the few cities in China that harbors an inner bay within its urban vicinity, which endows a distinctive geography that has intricately influenced its physical layout featuring bays on both the northern and southern sides. The exquisite urban vista, coupled with the fusion of traditional and contemporary cultures, has brought this resplendent city more incredible allure.

On a summer evening, as the sun gradually dips below the horizon, the oppressive heat of the day dissipates with the arrival of a gentle sea breeze, following the soothing coolness of the night. Boarding the ferry on Shantou's inner bay for a night cruise, the deep sound of the whistle, the gentle rocking of the seawater, the comfortable boat itself and the colorful night scenery along the coast all bring a sense of peacefulness and relaxation.

Since its opening in 1976, the route from Shantou Square to Queshi Ferry has been running for over 40 years. The resonating sound of the ferry's whistle across the sky has become a warm memory for many residents. After the suspension and then the closure, the ferry has once again returned with a new look. In recent years, Shantou has resumed its service of cross-river ferries and launched the night cruise in bays, making the ferry a photography site with its whistle sound pretty impressive to Shantou citizens and visitors.

On the neon-lit cruise ship, with the refreshing sea breeze blowing, and the orderly sound of water beneath feet, one can discover the urban landscape from an unusual perspective. At the sound of the whistle, the coolness of the summer night sweeps away the heat of the summer day on the cruise ship. Looking down from the night cruise ferry, the beautiful scenery on both sides of the bay is slowly revealed. In the distance, the Queshi Bridge stretches across the sea like a rainbow, while the buildings in the Shantou urban area are neatly arranged. On the opposite side, the Nanbin New City sparkles like stars. All of the beauty combines to form a prosperous, ecological, and harmonious scene that is a feast for the eyes.

Crossing the bay and arriving at the coast of Haojiang, one will come to the nearby Nanbin Park. With green grass like a carpet and mountains and sea as its backdrop, the favorable natural conditions in Nanbin Park create a beautiful ecological picture. The park is positioned as a vibrant symbol of Shantou and features attractions such as delonix forests, a seaview corridor, a lawn theater, and a wetland flower sea, which showcase the unique characteristics of Shantou's coastal scenery.

In recent years, Shantou has been continuously promoting the building of a high-quality "Garden City" to make greenery and parks on every corner. In 2020, the city's parkland increased by 166.82 hectares. And in 2021, an additional 69.09 hectares were added. Currently, the green coverage rate in Shantou's urban area is 43.29% with a per capita green area of 12.25 square meters.

On a summer night, people who casually stroll in Nanbin Park can easily find themselves surrounded by lush trees, with the beads of greenery connecting as a chain and then blending with the landscape of the Nanbin New City on the coast of Haojiang River. Here a shining ecological calling card upholds brightly on the side of the bay.

汕头是国内少有的市区拥有内海湾的城市，独特的地理环境造就汕头一湾两岸、南北相望的城市形态，旖旎的城市风光、传统与现代结合的人文风情，让这座城市魅力大增。

盛夏的傍晚，随着黄昏慢慢铺上海面，白天的酷热伴随着海风渐渐消逝，夜间的消暑去处也随之而来。踏上汕头内海湾夜游轮渡。汽笛悠悠，海水轻摇，舒适的船身和多彩的沿岸夜景，让人心旷神怡。

从1976年正式开通的汕头广场——礐石航线在一湾海水中荡过四十余年，一声声划过天际的汽笛也早已成为镌刻在许多汕头人心中温暖的城市记忆。历尽停渡、关闭航线的渡船，在如今带着新的风采再次驶来。近年来，汕头重新恢复过江轮渡，并开启夜游海湾项目，汽笛声声，再次成为汕头市民的记忆点、游客抵汕的“打卡地”。

在霓虹闪烁的游轮上，迎着清爽宜人的海风，伴着脚下有序的破水声，从不同寻常的角度发现城市的景观，在汽笛声声中，感受夏夜里的清凉，夏日的暑意在游轮上一扫而光。俯瞰夜游轮渡，一湾两岸的美景被轮渡缓缓“推开”，远处的礐石大桥如长虹跨过海面，近处汕头城区楼房鳞次栉比，对岸南滨新城如星光点点……一派繁华、生态，自然构成的和谐景象尽收眼底。

穿越海湾，抵达濠江沿岸，来到不远处的南滨公园。绿草如茵，枕山襟海。优渥的自然条件在南滨公园构成一幅美丽的生态画卷。公园以“城市门户·活力公园”为定位，在园内规划建设有凤凰来仪、观海长廊、草坪剧场、湿地花海等景点，多方位呈现汕头海滨邹鲁的特色。

近年来，汕头以“300米见绿、500米见园”为目标，持续推进打造高颜值“花园城市”。2020年汕头的公园绿地增加166.82公顷，2021年又增加了69.09公顷，目前汕头城区绿化覆盖率为43.29%，城区人均公园绿地面积达到12.25平方米。

夏日夜里，漫步在南滨公园中，绿树成荫，绿意尽情地蔓延，串珠成链、连线成片与濠江南滨新城景观浑然一体，一张充满绿意的生态名片在海湾一侧熠熠生辉。
