China has expressed strong dissatisfaction with and firm opposition to the United States' approval of a large-scale arms sales plan to China's Taiwan region, saying the move seriously violates the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiques, gravely harms China's sovereignty and security interests, and sends a seriously wrong signal to "Taiwan independence" secessionist forces.

"Taiwan independence" is fundamentally incompatible with peace across the Taiwan Strait, and any attempt to arm Taiwan will face serious consequences.

No matter how many advanced weapons are sold to China's Taiwan region, they cannot hinder the historical trend that China will eventually and surely be reunified.

近日，美国宣布向中国台湾地区大规模出售武器。对此，中国表示强烈不满和坚决反对，称此举严重违背一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报，严重损害中国主权和安全利益，并向“台独”分裂势力发出严重错误信号。

“台独”是对海峡两岸和平的最大威胁。任何“武装台湾”企图都将面临严重后果。中国外交部发言人郭嘉昆强调：“无论（美国）向中国台湾地区出售多少先进武器，都无法阻挡中国必将统一的历史大势。”
