On February 2nd, the Ximen Yingge Team from Chao Yang, Shantou, Guangdong, made a grand appearance on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, dazzling the crowd with their powerful dance moves! They brought the lively and joyous spirit of the "Chinese New Year" as well as their heartfelt New Year wishes to the Arc de Triomphe, marking the final stop of their European tour during the Year of the Snake. Previously, the team had already delivered stunning performances in Hanau and Frankfurt, Germany, as well as Lyon, France. Equally impressive is that in the summer of 2024, a local Yingge team was established in Paris, France, becoming the first Yingge team in Europe!

The intangible cultural heritage experts pointed out that during the first Chinese New Year after it was recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the Yingge Dance from Guangdong's Shantou, traveled to perform in Germany and France during the Chinese New Year, offering an excellent opportunity for the Spring Festival culture to go global. This is crucial in enhancing national confidence and pride, while also sustaining the development of the cultural industry. Such events not only strengthen friendships between different countries and ethnicities but also showcase the charm and vitality of traditional Chinese culture on the international stage, elevating China's global image and influence.

In the summer of 2024, the first Yingge team was officially unveiled in Paris by the Amicale des Teochew en France ("the French Chaozhou Association"). They had already held small performances in September 2024 and earlier this year. Before the performance of the Ximen Yingge team in Paris, they had been in frequent contact and communication with the French Chaozhou Association. During the performance on the fifth day of the Chinese New Year, members of the local French Yingge Team not only attended to observe and learn but also actively offered significant logistical support to the Guangdong Yingge Team.

Du Laishun, the Youth Group Director and Vice President of the French Chaozhou Association, is the founder of the French Yingge Team. Having trained in Chinese martial arts for eight years, he also serves as the team’s head coach. According to him, the team includes Chaozhou overseas Chinese, non-Chaozhou Chinese youth, and international friends of various races and nationalities. The age range of the members spans from 11 to over 40 years old, and the team includes both men and women. “A wonderful synergy has been created; the cohesion of Ying culture brings everyone together!” Du Laishun expressed with pride.

广东英歌舞动法国凯旋门，欧洲首支英歌队去年已在巴黎成立

当地时间2月2日，广东汕头潮阳西门英歌队来到巴黎香榭丽舍大街，霸气起舞！他们把热烈欢乐的“中国年味”和诚挚美好的新春祝福带到了凯旋门下，这是西门英歌队蛇年新春欧洲之行的最后一站。此前，他们已持续惊艳亮相德国哈瑙、法兰克福，以及法国里昂。同样让人惊艳的是，在2024年夏天，法国巴黎已成立当地自己的英歌队，属欧洲首支英歌队！

非遗专家则指出，在春节成为人类非遗后的首个新年，来自广东的英歌舞远赴德国法国演出，是春节文化走向世界的大好时机，对提振民族自信心和自豪感，保持文化行业的发展活力具有重要价值。此举不仅增进不同国家、民族之间的情谊，更在国际舞台展示中华优秀传统文化的魅力和活力，提升中国的国际形象和影响力。

在2024年夏天，欧洲首支英歌队正式在巴黎成立，组织方正是法国潮州会馆，他们已在2024年9月和今年初举行过小型演出。西门英歌队在巴黎演出之前，已与法国潮州会馆方多次接洽，交流互通。而在大年初五的演出过程中，法国当地的英歌队员不仅到现场观摩学习，还主动为广东英歌队提供了很多后勤支持。

法国潮州会馆青年组主任、副会长杜来顺是法国英歌队的创始人，练过8年中国武术的他也是队内的主教练。据他介绍，这支法国英歌队内有潮汕籍华人，有非潮籍的华裔青年，还有不同肤色、不同面孔的国际友人参与，成员的年龄跨度在 11岁到 40多岁之间，既有男性，也有女性。“一种美妙的协同效应已经形成，英歌文化的凝聚力将大家团结在一起！”杜来顺感慨道。
