On November 21st, the 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cultural Industry Investment Conference took place in Guangzhou, Guangdong. The event featured a special sessionon Chinese fashion trendcreativity, gathering innovative forces from culture, technology, and finance. During the event, top IP representatives shared insights on how to empower traditional culture through technology and creativity, propelling Chinese trend animations to a global stage.
"Black Myth: Wukong", a popular game this year, saw its production team's chairman, Sun Muzi from Graphics Science, introduce how the game tells modern stories through traditional Chinese culture. He said it combines traditional culture with advanced technology by conducting in-depth research on architectural styles, folk patterns, and restoration techniques from the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, creating an immersive game world. "It's a Chinese story that easily resonates with the audience," he added.
Guangzhou Jason Anime Culture Co., Ltd. also showcased its innovative "Lost Treasures of Dunhuang Overseas" series of cards, integrating Dunhuang culture and elements from the Buddhist classic "Diamond Sutra," creating collectibles with cultural heritage and artistic value. The company's CEO Jason said they plan to expand product types via the "IP + Technology" model and cooperate with the "I Am What I Am" team to develop new cards.
In the process of Chinese animations "going global", Guangdong's animation industry is expanding worldwide. "I Am What I Am", a successful Chinese animation, was screened in Japan last year and also exhibited in many countries like the US and the UK, receiving acclaim. Producer Cheng Haiming revealed that multiple overseas distribution agreements for the third installment have been signed.
Guangdong Winsing Animation is also promoting the internationalization of Chinese animations. Its original works have been translated into 11 languages and are available on more than 150 global streaming platforms. This past summer,"Into the Mortal World" was screened in cinemas in many countries and regions. Vice President Yan Bing said, "Winsing Animation has been going global since 2008, and to date, has formed an 'IP Content + the whole industry' operation model for going overseas, with IP content leading derivative products and services to the global market."

“国潮”何以成热潮?
11月21日,2024粤港澳大湾区文化产业投资大会(广东·广州)举行了国潮创意专场,汇聚了文化、科技和金融领域的创新力量。活动中,顶流IP负责人分享了如何通过科技和创意赋能传统文化,推动国潮动画走向全球。
《黑神话:悟空》作为今年爆红的游戏项目,其背后的制作团队南京涂形互动软件科技有限公司的董事长孙木子介绍了游戏如何通过中国传统文化讲述现代故事。他强调,该游戏通过深入研究唐宋和明清时期的建筑风格、民间纹样及修复工艺,将传统文化与先进技术结合,创造出引人入胜的游戏世界。“《黑神话:悟空》是中国故事,容易与观众产生共鸣。”孙木子表示。
广州杰森动漫文化有限公司也在现场展示了其创新的“敦煌海外遗失物·丝路手信”系列卡牌,融合了敦煌文化和佛教经典《金刚经》元素,打造了具有文化传承和艺术价值的收藏品。杰森动漫CEO林俊表示,该公司计划通过“IP+科技”模式不断拓展产品类型,并与《雄狮少年》团队合作开发新卡牌。
在国漫“破圈出海”的过程中,广东的动画产业正不断向全球拓展。《雄狮少年》作为一部成功走出国门的国产动画,去年不仅在日本院线上映,还在美国、英国等全球多个国家展映,获得了好评。制片人程海明透露,系列的第三部已经签订了多个海外发行协议。
广东咏声动漫也在积极推动国漫出海,其原创动画作品已被翻译成11种语言,覆盖全球150多个播放平台。今年暑期,《落凡尘》在多个国家和地区的院线上映。咏声动漫副总裁阎冰强调:“咏声动漫自2008年开始出海,至今形成了‘IP内容+全产业’运营的出海模式,IP内容出海带动衍生产品与服务走向全球。”
