According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's annual production of new energy vehicles (NEVs) has surpassed 10 million for the first time, making it the first country in the world to reach this milestone.

Statistics show that 2013 was the first year when the production and sales of NEVs in China were included in global statistics, with just 18,000 units produced. By 2018, annual production had reached 1 million units. In 2022, annual production exceeded 5 million units. Today, production has surpassed 10 million, marking a 4.3% increase compared to last year’s 9.587 million units, with more than a month and a half remaining. Experts predict that the final number by the end of the year could exceed 12 million units.

Looking ahead, China's NEV industry is poised for continued growth, both in quantity and quality, contributing significantly to the global new energy sector.

全球第一！我国新能源汽车年度产量首次突破1000万辆

记者从中国汽车工业协会获悉，今天上午，我国新能源汽车年产量首次突破了1000万辆，同时也是全球首个新能源汽车年度达产1000万辆的国家。

统计数据显示，2013年是中国新能源汽车产销量纳入统计体系的第一年，当年的产量仅有1.8万辆。到了2018年，年产量达到百万量级，再到2022年，年度达产超过五百万辆，直到今天，首次突破了1000万辆的里程碑，在距离年底还有一个半月时间就比去年全年958.7万辆的产量增长了4.3%。专家预计，这一数字到年底还有望超过1200万辆。

未来，中国新能源汽车产业不仅在数量上实现飞跃，更将在质量上不断突破，为全球新能源产业贡献更大的中国力量。
