The inaugural flight of the first low-altitude round-trip route from Baiyun Airport to Haixinsha in Guangzhou took off

On October 31st, the inaugural flight of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area round-trip low-altitude intercity route from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Haixinsha Island in Guangzhou and then to the Great China in Shenzhen took off. This marks the launch of the first low-altitude round-trip route from Baiyun Airport to Haixinsha. The route was developed in collaboration between Guangdong Airport Authority's Yitong Business Aviation and Heli-Eastern.

On that day at 12:10 PM, an Airbus EC135 helicopter took off from the Great China in Shenzhen with its inaugural passengers. After a 30-minute flight, it arrived at the helicopter landing point in Haixinsha, Guangzhou. At 4:35 PM, the helicopter departed from the Haixinsha landing point and, after an 18-minute flight, reached the Guangzhou Fixed Base Operator (Guangzhou FBO).

The main aircraft used for this route is the Airbus EC135, a twin-engine light helicopter that first flew in 1994. The cabin of the EC135 is designed to be flexible and can be configured to meet various requirements, typically accommodating six to seven passengers. The seats are spacious and comfortable, and the helicopter provides amenities such as water and blankets to ensure a pleasant flying experience for passengers.

According to Cai Wuqun, general manager of the Strategic Development Department of Heli-Eastern, low-altitude transportation mainly solves the problem of fast traffic between cities and within cities. It takes 18 minutes from Baiyun Airport to the Zhujiang New Town, which can meet the high-efficiency travel of business people.

Guangzhou and Shenzhen are two key cities within the Greater Bay Area, with significant economic strength and a solid industrial foundation. Both cities host many private enterprises and have strong economic ties, characterized by robust demand for passenger and cargo transportation. Business interactions between them are frequent and close.

Previously, during peak times, ground transportation from Shenzhen Great China to Guangzhou Haixinsha took over 120 minutes, while travel from Haixinsha to Baiyun Airport took more than 50 minutes. With the newly launched connecting service, the flight from Shenzhen Great China to Haixinsha now only takes 30 minutes, plus an additional 2 minutes for a security check. The flight from Haixinsha to Baiyun Airport takes just 18 minutes, also with a 2-minute security check.

It is reported that the successful inaugural flight of this route is an important part of the 7th Guangzhou Business Aviation Exhibition and General Aviation & Low Altitude Economy Expo, specifically within the "Low-altitude Economic Application Scenarios" showcase. This flight demonstrates the significant potential of the low-altitude economy in promoting regional collaborative development.

仅需18分钟!首条白云机场-广州海心沙低空飞行往返航线首飞

10月31日,白云机场-广州海心沙-深圳大中华粤港澳大湾区低空城际往返航线首飞,也标志着首条白云机场-广州海心沙低空飞行往返航线的开通。这条航线由广东机场集团翼通商务航空与东部通航合作打造。

当日12时10分,一架空客EC135直升机搭乘首发乘客从深圳大中华城市候机厅起飞,经过30分钟飞行抵达广州海心沙直升机起降点。16时35分,直升机从广州海心沙直升机起降点起飞,经过18分钟飞行抵达广州白云机场商务航空服务基地。

据了解,该航线使用的主力机型为空客EC135,这是一款双引擎轻型直升机,首次飞行于1994年。空客EC135客舱设计灵活,可根据不同任务需求进行配置,通常可容纳6至7名乘客,乘客座位十分宽敞舒适,机内提供水、毛毯等用品,充分保障乘客飞行体验。

据东部通航战略发展部总经理蔡武群介绍,低空交通主要解决城际间和城市内部的快速交通问题,从白云机场到珠江新城18分钟就能到达,可以满足商务人士高时效出行需求。

广州、深圳作为粤港澳大湾区内的两大核心城市,经济体量大、产业基础雄厚,拥有众多民营企业。两座城市经济发展联系紧密、客货运输需求强劲,商务往来频繁且紧密。

原先,从深圳大中华到广州海心沙高峰时期地面交通超120分钟,从广州海心沙到白云机场地面交通时间超50分钟。使用此次开通的联程接驳服务,从深圳大中华到广州海心沙只需30分钟空中飞行,安检2分钟;从广州海心沙到白云机场只需18分钟空中飞行,安检2分钟。

据悉,作为第七届(中国)广州商务航空展暨通航低空产业博览会“低空经济应用场景展示”的重要组成部分,此次航线的成功首飞,展现了低空经济在促进区域协同发展中的巨大潜力。
