At 3 PM on October 30, the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway was officially opened to traffic. Comprising a main line and the Nansha Connection Line (Wanqingsha Branch), the expressway connects Guangzhou, Zhongshan, and Shenzhen, linking multiple major expressways and highways. This new transport hub in the "Golden Inner Bay" will significantly boost high-quality provincial and municipal development and enhance connectivity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

With the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway now open, travel time is greatly reduced. It only takes 20 minutes from Nansha to Shenzhen's Bao'an District, and just 15 minutes from Nansha to downtown Zhongshan, establishing a "30-minute living and commuting circle" between the three areas. This expressway improves the southern Guangzhou traffic network and contributes to the implementation of "the Overall Plan of Nansha of Guangzhou for Deepening the Comprehensive Global Cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao" and the strategy to develop the southern part of Guangzhou along the coastal area of Lingdingyang and Shiziyang. It plays a critical role in improving Nansha as a core future growth area, driving new progress in Guangzhou's comprehensive urban functions, cultural strength, modern service industries, advanced international business environment , and building a central city at the global level. Additionally, by connecting Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Shenzhen, and the western Pearl River Delta, this project is significant for integrating the GBA, linking national and provincial expressway networks, and supporting the region's cohesive development.

一桥通三市！南中高速今日通车

10月30日15时，南中高速顺利建成通车。南中高速由主线及南沙联络线（万顷沙支线）组成，联通广州、中山、深圳三市，有机串起多个高快速路和国省道，成为“黄金内湾”重要交通枢纽，将有力促进省市高质量发展和粤港澳大湾区互联互通。

南中高速通车后，南沙前往深圳宝安车程缩短至20分钟，15分钟可至中山城区，三地将携手进入“半小时生活交通圈”。南中高速的建成通车，显著优化了广州南部交通网络，成为支撑《南沙方案》及广州“两洋南拓”空间发展方针落实的重要基础设施，对提升南沙“未来发展核”能级、助力广州“四个出新出彩”、建设中心型世界城市具有重要作用。同时，项目连通广州、中山、深圳和珠江口西岸都市圈，对于贯通国家及广东高速公路规划主干道、促进珠三角区域一体化发展及深化粤港澳大湾区互联互通具有重要战略意义。
