On the morning of September 26^th, China Southern Airlines successfully launched its cross-border helicopter route from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, reducing the travel time to just 40 minutes. This marks another major development in the low-altitude travel corridor within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The flight departs from the Guangzhou Fixed Base Operator (Guangzhou FBO) , operated by the Guangdong Airport Authority's Yitong Business Aviation Service Company. 

Around 10:00 AM on September 26^th, passengers quickly completed customs and immigration procedures in about five minutes before boarding the twin-engine Sikorsky S92 helicopter. After a smooth 40-minute flight, they landed at Hong Kong International Airport .

Currently, traveling from Guangzhou to downtown Hong Kong by road takes at least three hours, including border check and driving. In comparison, this helicopter route significantly shortens the journey to just over 40 minutes, enhancing travel efficiency and improving connectivity between key cities in the GBA.

According to the route's operator, China Southern Airlines General Aviation Company Ltd. (referred to as CSGAC) , the service will initially be offered as a charter during its trial phase. Customers can customize their own flight plans, enjoying fast and convenient cross-border travel.

As the market matures and demand grows, CSGAC plans to introduce regular short-haul flights with two landing points in Hong Kong: Sheung Wan's Shun Tak Centre and Hong Kong International Airport, providing travelers with more options.

In terms of aircraft selection, CSGAC will also offer flexibility based on market feedback, with a range of advanced helicopters, including the Sikorsky S76 and Bell 429 , to be used on the route.

CSGAC has already launched aerial sightseeing tours in Zhuhai, island tours, and Shenzhen city tours, providing travelers with fresh perspectives and experiences. They are also set to open a new helicopter route between Sanya and Zhanjiang. In the future, CSGAC plans to further expand domestic and cross-border low-altitude flight routes across the GBA, while also exploring low-altitude logistics transportation within the region.

广州飞香港40分钟可达！大湾区低空通道再上新

9月26日上午，南航广州至香港的直升机跨境航线成功开通，航程仅40分钟，标志着粤港澳大湾区低空出行通道又上新。

据悉，该航线起飞地点设在由广东省机场管理集团翼通商务航空发展股份有限公司（以下简称“翼通公司”）运营的广州商务航空服务基地（以下简称“广州FBO”）。

9月26日上午10时许，乘机旅客用时约5分钟办理完联检手续后，登上了执飞该航线的双发动机直升机——西科斯基S92，经过40分钟的飞行，稳稳降落于香港国际机场。

据了解，目前广州经陆路赴香港市中心，进出关及车程至少需要3小时，相比之下，空中飞行仅需40多分钟，大大提升了旅客的出行时效，进一步加强了粤港澳大湾区主要城市间的互动往来。

据该航线的运营方南航通用航空股份有限公司（以下简称“南航通航”）介绍，在试运营阶段，该航线以包机形式提供服务，客户可根据自身需求预订专属飞行计划，享受高效便捷的跨境出行体验。

未来，随着市场的成熟与需求的增长，南航通航计划推出定期短途运输航班，提供香港上环信德中心及香港国际机场两处起降点，进一步丰富旅客的出行选择。

同时，在机型的选择方面，南航通航还将根据市场反馈，灵活调配包括西科斯基S76、贝尔429等在内的多种先进直升机机型执飞。

当前，南航通航成功开拓珠海空中游及海岛游、深圳空中游等低空文旅项目，为旅客带来全新的视角与体验，即将开通三亚—湛江直升机跨海航线。未来，南航通航将陆续开通粤港澳大湾区内的其他省内或跨境低空飞行航线，并在此基础上拓展粤港澳大湾区低空物流运输应用场景。
