According to the Guangdong Sub-administration of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), Guangdong's foreign trade has continued to show strong growth in the first seven months of 2024. The total import and export volume reached 5.17 trillion yuan, an increase of 13.9% compared to the same period last year. This growth rate surpasses the national average by 7.7 percentage points, accounting for 20.8% of the national total. Exports amounted to 3.36 trillion yuan, up by 12.6%, while imports reached 1.81 trillion yuan, growing by 16.5%.
In July alone, Guangdong's foreign trade totaled 800.03 billion yuan, a 15.5% increase, maintaining double-digit growth for four consecutive months. Exports were 519.57 billion yuan, up by 16.5%, and imports were 280.46 billion yuan, growing by 13.8%.
The trade structure continues to improve, with a sustained increase in the proportion of general trade. In the first seven months, Guangdong's general trade import and export value was 3.06 trillion yuan, up by 16.2%, accounting for 59.3% of the province's total foreign trade, an increase of 1.2 percentage points from the same period last year.
Private enterprises saw a significant increase in foreign trade, growing by over 20%. In the first seven months, private enterprises' imports and exports totaled 3.3 trillion yuan, up by 21.1%, representing 63.9% of Guangdong's foreign trade total. In comparison, foreign-invested enterprises had an import and export value of 1.59 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.9%, making up 30.8%, while state-owned enterprises reached 260.12 billion yuan, up by 2.3%, accounting for 5%.
Regional cooperation has continued to deepen, with a positive performance in traditional markets and continued growth in emerging markets. In the first seven months, Guangdong's imports and exports to traditional markets, such as Hong Kong, the United States, the European Union, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, all showed positive growth, with increases of 17.6%, 11.4%, 7.7%, 3.5%, and 25.4%, respectively. Meanwhile, exports to emerging markets like the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN), Latin America, 17 Middle Eastern countries, and 5 Central Asian countries grew by 13%, 20.8%, 16.1%, and 31.1%, respectively.
Products made in Guangdong continues to be welcomed globally, with significant growth in certain electromechanical products. In the first seven months, exports of electromechanical products grew by 10.9%, accounting for 64.6% of Guangdong's total exports. Notably, exports of automatic data processing equipment and parts, household appliances, and mobile phones increased by 17%, 17.4%, and 9.6%, respectively. Exports of ships, electric vehicles, and containers grew rapidly by 53.7%, 70.2%, and 123%, respectively. Meanwhile, labor-intensive products saw a modest export growth of 3.2%, representing 14.1% of the total, and steel exports surged to 101.83 billion yuan, up by 3.6 times.
There has been a notable increase in the import of certain electromechanical products and bulk commodities. In the first seven months, Guangdong imported integrated circuits worth 623.15 billion yuan, a 19.1% increase, making up 34.6% of total imports. Imports of automatic data processing equipment and parts, as well as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, reached 138.33 billion yuan and 33.28 billion yuan, respectively, with growth rates of 1.4 times and 1.7 times. Additionally, the import of coal, crude oil, and natural gas totaled 57.77 million tons, up by 33.3%, with a value of 78.83 billion yuan, an increase of 13.4%.
前7个月广东外贸进出口增长13.9%
记者从海关总署广东分署获悉,据统计,今年前7个月广东外贸继续保持良好增长势头,进出口5.17万亿元,较去年同期(下同)增长13.9%,高于全国平均水平7.7个百分点,占全国比重20.8%。其中,出口3.36万亿元,增长12.6%;进口1.81万亿元,增长16.5%。
仅在7月,广东进出口8000.3亿元,增长15.5%,连续4个月保持两位数增长。其中,出口5195.7亿元,增长16.5%;进口2804.6亿元,增长13.8%。
贸易结构不断优化,一般贸易比重持续提升。前7个月,广东一般贸易进出口3.06万亿元,增长16.2%,占广东外贸总值的比重较去年同期提升1.2个百分点至59.3%。
民营企业进出口增长超两成。前7个月,广东民营企业进出口3.3万亿元,增长21.1%,占广东外贸总值的63.9%。同期,外商投资企业进出口1.59万亿元,增长2.9%,占30.8%;国有企业进出口2601.2亿元,增长2.3%,占5%。
区域合作持续深化,对传统市场保持韧性的同时,对新兴市场进出口持续向好。前7个月,广东对中国香港、美国、欧盟、日本、韩国等传统市场进出口均实现正增长,分别增长17.6%、11.4%、7.7%、3.5%、25.4%。同期,对东盟、拉美、中东17国、中亚5国等新兴市场进出口分别增长13%、20.8%、16.1%、31.1%。
“广东制造”金字招牌持续擦亮,部分机电产品出口增长迅猛。前7个月,广东机电产品出口增长10.9%,占广东出口总值的64.6%。其中,自动数据处理设备及其零部件、家用电器、手机分别增长17%、17.4%、9.6%;船舶、电动汽车、集装箱较快增长,分别增长53.7%、70.2%和123%。同期,出口劳动密集型产品增长3.2%,占14.1%;出口钢材1018.3亿元,增长3.6倍。
从进口来看,部分机电产品、大宗商品进口加快。前7个月,广东进口集成电路6231.5亿元,增长19.1%,占广东进口总值的34.6%;进口自动数据处理设备及其零部件、半导体制造设备1383.3亿元和332.8亿元,分别增长1.4倍和1.7倍。同期,进口煤炭、原油、天然气等3类能源产品合计5776.7万吨,增长33.3%,价值788.3亿元,增长13.4%。
