On August 9th, the "Immersive Hong Kong" roving exhibition was held at the OneLink Walk in Tianhe District, Guangzhou. This exhibition marks the fourth stop of the touring exhibition organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, following successful events held in Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia over the past year. It is also the first time this exhibition has been introduced to Chinese mainland.

The exhibition is free of charge and will run until August 18th, with visiting hours from 11 AM to 9 PM (Monday to Friday) and from 10 AM to 10 PM (Saturday to Sunday).

Hong Kong's urban charms in full display

Themed"Hong Kong - Where the World Looks Ahead", the event features five major thematic areas: Financial Bridgehead, I&T Brain Bank, Blossoming Creativity, Diversity and Greenery, and Buzzing Sports Action. Utilizing interactive art technologies and various virtual scenes, it offers visitors a lively and immersive experience.

A new addition to this year's exhibition is the "Buzzing Sports Action" section. As the Paris Olympics is in full swing, Hong Kong athletes have achieved impressive results. Also, the 15th National Games set to be held in the GBA next year has made "Sports+" a buzzword. This newly added section aims to generate excitement to promote the upcoming 15th National Games, captivating the attention of many visitors.

"This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 5th anniversary of the release of the 'Outline Development Plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.' Therefore, hosting this exhibition in Guangzhou, a central city in the GBA along with Hong Kong, bears particular significance," said Miss Chui Sze Man, Chief Information Officer (Overseas Public Relations) of the HKSAR Government Information Services Department, in the interview.

She emphasized that Hong Kong and Guangdong share common roots and are important partners in regional cooperation. The two citieshave been actively promoting various collaborative projects recent years, acting as core engines of regional development. Hopefully, this exhibition will further showcase Hong Kong's latest urban charms, advantages, and opportunities, attracting residents in the GBA to get interested in and visit Hong Kong.

"We welcome friends from Guangzhou and other GBA cities to come to Hong Kong for studies, business, or investment, and to use Hong Kong's international platform to explore overseas markets," Miss Chui added.

Exciting games and prizes

With the completion of infrastructure projects like the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Highspeed Railway,the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the Liantang Port/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point, the "one-hour living circle" in the GBA is steadily taking shape. Under the support of the digital economy and service consumption, Hong Kong and Chinese mainland are achieving mutual growth.

Against this backdrop, the exhibition aligns with the theme of cooperation and development in the GBA. The design incorporates landmarks from various cities within the GBA, while the venue features projections showcasing the region's diverse culture, including the millennium project Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

In addition to the exhibition, interactive games themed around the GBA are also available. Visitors can participate in the interactive game "Snap a cool shot @Immersive Hong Kong", and have the chance to win tickets and tasting passes for the "Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2024" that will take place in October, with a total of 50 prizes to be awarded.

“香港─沉浸式之旅@广州”展览在穗揭幕

8月9日，“香港─沉浸式之旅@广州”展览在广州市天河区万菱汇大中庭揭幕，本次展览是香港特区政府继过去一年在印度尼西亚、泰国及马来西亚举办该巡回展览后的第四站，也是该展览首次引入内地。

本次展览免费开放，将持续至8月18日，开放时间为上午11时至晚上9时（周一至周五）、上午10时至晚上10时（周六至周日）。

全方位展示香港最新都会魅力

本次展览主题为“香港——实践理想，开创未来” ，现场设有国际金融中心、创新及科技枢纽、澎湃创意之都、多元和绿色城市、体育动感之都等五大主题展区，运用互动艺术科技，通过多个虚拟场景的打造，为参观者提供活泼生动的沉浸式观展体验。

“体育动感之都”是今年全新加入的展览元素。巴黎奥运会正在火热举行，香港运动员也在本次奥运会上取得骄人成绩，随着十五运将于明年在大湾区隆重举行，“体育+”成为热门关键词，这一特别增设的展区旨在为全运会预热宣传，吸引了不少市民特别驻足。

“今年是中华人民共和国成立75周年，也是《粤港澳大湾区发展规划纲要》颁布5周年，此次展览在与香港同为粤港澳大湾区中心城市的广州举办，堪称别具意义。”

香港特别行政区政府新闻处总新闻主任（海外公共关系）徐诗敏受访时表示，香港与广东同根同源，是区域合作的重要伙伴，香港和广州更共同担当区域发展核心引擎，近年来积极推进多个合作项目，希望通过此次展览，全方位展示香港最新的都会魅力、优势及机遇，吸引大湾区居民关注并到访香港。

“欢迎广州及大湾区其他城市的朋友到香港求学、营商或投资，以及利用香港国际化平台开拓海外市场。”徐诗敏说。

有奖游戏同步上线

随着广深港高铁香港段、港珠澳大桥、莲塘/香园围口岸等投入使用，在数字经济和服务消费的助力下，大湾区“一小时生活圈”稳步构建，香港与内地正在实现“双向奔赴”。

在此背景下，本次展览紧扣大湾区合作发展主题，不仅在外观设计上融入大湾区内各城市地标，场馆内更以投影等方式展示湾区内的多元文化，包括连接香港、珠海和澳门的世纪工程——港珠澳大桥。

除参观内容外，此次展览还设有以大湾区为主题的互动游戏，现场参与打卡及参加有奖游戏“酷游香港─沉浸式之旅”，有机会获得将于今年10月举办的“香港美酒佳肴巡礼2024”入场券及品味通行证，共计送出50份。
