During the Qixi Festival, the Chinese Valentine's Day, which captures the romantic essence of the starry sky and people's longing for a happy life, the Qiqiao Carnival kicked off on August 8th at Pearl River Park and will run until August 11th. The event features a rich array of activities, including four competitions, six photo spots, fifteen market stalls, and over twenty interactive areas. Additionally, more than 1,200 festive gifts will be distributed. From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily, visitors can experience Guangzhou's traditional Qiqiao culture in a beautifully crafted ancient-style setting.

Creating a romantic grand event under the name of the Magpie Bridge

During the carnival, the park has carefully designed a market area that blends ancient love legends with market culture. Visitors can exchange copper coins, collect tokens, and complete stamp card activities, experiencing the bustling and rustic atmosphere of an ancient market. They can also appreciate the unique charm of Qiqiao culture and other intangible cultural heritage and traditional customs.

Additionally, on the evening of August 10th, Pearl River Park will host a grand "Hanfu Parade." Amidst the dazzling lights and sunset glow, people dressed in various styles of traditional Hanfu will showcase their attire as they stroll through the park and walk along verdant paths and stone walkways while displaying the elegance of Hanfu and the grandeur of Chinese civilization. Following the parade, a Hanfu music festival took place, blending vibrant sounds and lights with diverse scenic setups, creating an immersive experience of Lingnan cultural charm and offering the audience a visual and auditory feast.

Showcasing new aspects of traditional customs in the spirit of Qiqiao

Qiqiao culture encompasses elements of worship, poetry, music and dance, arts and crafts, and labor skills. It symbolizes women's diligence, wisdom, kindness, and the pursuit of a beautiful life. Activities such as making handmade lanterns and wishing for blessings, along with visiting the Magpie Bridge to celebrate love and happiness, are highlights of this carnival, offering a rich experience of Qiqiao traditions.

Building on the Qiqiao theme of the Qixi Festival, the event features a series of interactive games. Visitors can engage in activities such as threading a needle through lotus roots, ingenuity testing by floating needles, tying red headbands, and making lanterns and fans. There will also be traditional competitions like poetry matching, throwing pottery, cuju (kicking a ball), kicking shuttlecocks, and guessing riddles. The park has set up six beautifully themed photo spots, including "Meeting on the Magpie Bridge," "Moon Goddess Descends," "Floating River Lanterns," and "Marriage Wall," offering a multi-dimensional, diverse, and layered immersive experience of the Qixi Festival.

While enjoying the Qiqiao Carnival at Pearl River Park, visitors can also admire the dazzling Canton Tower. The park features scenic setups like the "Lantern Corridor" and "Cantonese Charm," which beautifully present the festive atmosphere and the allure of Cantonese culture. Citizens and tourists can choose the best vantage points in the park to enjoy the night view and make heartfelt wishes.

广州珠江公园乞巧嘉年华开启浪漫之约

七夕佳节，承载了传统佳节对浩瀚星空的浪漫想象，也饱含了人们对幸福生活的向往追求。8月8日，“花城雅韵·乞巧相迎”珠江公园乞巧嘉年华活动启动，将持续至8月11日。活动期间，公园策划设计了4场评比、6个打卡点、15个集市摊以及20余个互动区，还有超过1200份节庆好礼相送，每日17点至22点，市民游客可免费从现代CBD走进华美古风情景，沉浸式感受广州乞巧文化。

以鹊桥之名，打造浪漫盛会

嘉年华活动期间，公园精心策划游园市集区域，将古老的爱情传说与市集文化巧妙融合。市民游客可以在活动中兑换铜钱、收集通关令牌、完成印章打卡，感受古代市集的喧嚣与质朴，领略乞巧文化等非遗、节俗的独特魅力。

此外，8月10日傍晚，珠江公园举行盛大的“汉服巡游”，在灯火璀璨、霞光尽染的氛围中，身着不同制式汉服的人们游园展示，跨越时空之门、漫步绿野石径，在传统佳节里尽显华美汉服、泱泱中华文明。汉服音乐节也接踵而至，绚丽声光融合现场多样造景，共同打造沉浸式岭南风韵游园会，为现场观众送上一场视听盛宴。

以乞巧之意，展示节俗新意

乞巧文化集信仰崇拜、诗词歌赋、音乐舞蹈、工艺美术、劳动技能等于一体，是女性勤劳、智慧、善良与追求美好生活的象征。手作花灯、祈福祈愿，鹊桥打卡、共祝美满，丰富的乞巧体验活动是本次嘉年华的一大亮点。

借七夕“乞巧”之意，活动设计“七”巧（评巧、逛巧、礼巧、乐巧、戏巧、赛巧、斗巧）互动游戏，市民游客可以体验藕上穿针、投针验巧、结红头绳、手作花草灯乞巧扇等精巧游戏，还有对诗、投壶、蹴鞠、踢毽子、猜灯谜等古代盛行的比拼。园内设置“鹊桥相会”“月神临凡”“放河灯”“红线姻缘墙”等6个精美打卡点，多维度、多元化、多层次地呈现七夕节沉浸式体验。

在珠江公园里游玩乞巧嘉年华，还能观赏到璀璨的广州塔。园内“花灯长廊”“广府妙语”布景则展现节日诗情画意和广府文化魅力，市民游客可以在园中选择最佳视角，或遥望魁星，或欣赏霓虹，借景许下美好祝福。
