On the evening of July 19^th, the Guangdong Museum (also known as the "Yue Museum") kicked off its summer nighttime opening, with the halls brightly lit and bustling with visitors.

As the inaugural event of the "Night at the Museum," "Dialogues with Ancient Rome - Night of Italian Arts" complemented the ongoing exhibition "Art of the Roman Empire - Exhibition of the Ancient Treasures from the National Archaeological Museum of Naples," attracting a large number of visitors with its colorful programs.

The night began with a sand painting performance titled "Encounter with Ancient Rome ," where the sand artist, accompanied by gentle music, skillfully depicted magnificent scenes of ancient Rome amidst light and shadow.

The aria "Nessun Dorma" from "Turandot ", and the song "Beautiful Jasmine Flower," highlighted the cultural collaboration between China and Italy in opera, eliciting thunderous applause from the audience.

Following this, the orchestral performance "Roman Holiday: Yesterday Once More" featured classic film scenes from "Roman Holiday," synchronized with a live orchestral rendition of "Yesterday Once More," providing a profound visual and auditory delight for the audiences.

Finally, a duet of the Chinese "Drinking Song" and the Italian "Brindisi" raised the atmosphere to its peak. The intertwining of these two languages conveyed the deep friendship between Chinese and Italian cultures, prompting audiences to capture this unforgettable moment with their phones.

Reporters learned that starting from July 19th, the Guangdong Museum will extend its opening hours until 20:30 every Friday to offer a cool retreat from the summer heat. Director Xiao Haiming stated that to accommodate the peak summer flow, daily visitor capacity has been increased to 16,000, exceeding the maximum capacity, with an additional 3,500 spots available for Friday night openings.

During the summer vacation period, Yue Museum will host another six distinctive "Night at the Museum" events, including exhibitions such as "William Morris: Invigorating British Arts and Crafts," "Elegance, Refinement, Style: Paintings of Hua Yan," "Shadow Puppetry in China," alongside its permanent exhibitions and traditional festivals.

These events include: "A Salute to Beauty - A Night in the Time of the British Arts and Crafts Movement" on July 26^th; "Hongyun Ya Ji" on August 2^nd; "The Book of Songs and Chinese Style Music" on August 9^th; "Riding the Waves - Export Wallpapers" on August 16^th; "Respect for Tradition - Night of Folk Arts" on August 23^rd; and "Images of Lingnan" on August 30^th.

广东多家博物馆已开启暑期“博物馆之夜”

7月19日晚，广东省博物馆（简称“粤博”）迎来今夏的首次夜间开放，展馆内灯火通明、人头攒动。

作为“粤博之夜”的首场活动，“对话古罗马——意大利艺术之夜”配套正在热展的《罗马帝国的艺术——那不勒斯国立考古博物馆馆藏文物精品展》，以丰富的节目内容吸引了大量游客入馆。

首先登场的是《遇见古罗马》沙画表演，伴随着轻柔的音乐，沙画艺术家用灵巧的双手，在光影中勾勒出古罗马的壮丽场景。

《图兰朵》之咏叹调“今夜无人入睡”和“好一朵美丽的茉莉花”让观众从歌剧中体会中意文化的合作交融，引起现场掌声雷动。

随后登场的管弦乐演奏《罗马假日：昨日重现》通过经典电影《罗马假日》的荧幕剪影，搭配《昨日重现》的管弦乐现场演奏，带给观众极大的视觉和听觉享受。

最后，中文《祝酒歌》和意大利语《饮酒歌》的二重唱将现场氛围推向最高潮。两种语言的交织传达出中意文化的深厚友谊，观众纷纷举起手机拍摄，记录下这一难忘的时刻。

记者了解到，从7月19日起，广东省博物馆将于每周五延时开放至20:30，为炎炎夏日带来一抹清凉。广东省博物馆馆长肖海明表示，为了迎接暑期客流高峰，馆方将每日入馆名额提高至1.6万个，已超过最大承载量，每周五夜间开放还将额外增加3500个名额。

暑假期间，粤博还将有6场“粤博之夜”特色活动，内容涵盖《指尖栩栩 威廉·莫里斯带领下的英国工艺美术运动》《华岩绘画艺术展》《皮影里的中国》及常设展览和传统节日。

它们分别是：7月26日“美的礼赞——英国工艺美术运动时光之夜”，8月2日《红云雅集》，8月9日“《诗经》国风音乐”，8月16日“乘风破浪的外销壁纸”，8月23日“致敬传统——民俗艺术之夜”，8月30日“岭南映像”。
