From June 26th to 30th, the 8th China-Eurasia Expo, themed "New Opportunities of Silk Road, New Vitality for Eurasian Continent," was held in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Since 2011, the Expo has been successfully held seven times, serving as a significant platform for economic and trade cooperation among countries across Eurasia.

The Expo provides an excellent platform for foreign enterprises to enter the Chinese market

This Expo has attracted over 1,900 enterprises and institutions from more than 50 countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as 30 provinces, cities, districts, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and 14 prefecture-level cities in Xinjiang. Additionally, more than 20 countries, regions, and international organizations including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Iran, Serbia, Belarus, and UNIDO have set up national or thematic pavilions at the exhibition.

The Kyrgyzstan Pavilion mainly showcases local organic foods such as honey and dried fruits, offering free tastings to visitors. Tajikirov Umat, the head of the pavilion, told reporters that Kyrgyzstan, adjacent to Xinjiang, sees entering Xinjiang as a crucial step for businesses looking to understand and enter the Chinese market. "The China-Eurasia Expo provides our enterprises and products with a great platform. It allows us to test whether our products are well-received in China, like a trial run. Based on feedback, we can adjust our products to better fit the Chinese market."

The Iran Pavilion displays a variety of exquisite carpets and tapestries. Maryam Samieyanifard, Secretary General of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, informed reporters that eight Iranian enterprises participated in this event, showcasing products such as machine-woven carpets, handmade carpets, Iranian dates, and saffron. She stated China has always been Iran's largest trading partner and its target market. The two countries have maintained close cooperation. "Through the Expo, we foresee extensive opportunities for future collaboration."

Foreign media highly praises Xinjiang for its significant role in connecting China with Eurasia

Reporters learned from the Expo that China has become the largest trading partner and primary source of investment for the five Central Asian countries, namely, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

Xinjiang borders eight countries geographically: Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, enjoying a unique geographical advantage. Situated deep within the Eurasian continent, Xinjiang serves as a crucial nexus connecting China with various countries across Eurasia.

Jona Hasija, a television producer and journalist from Albania, visited the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in May and has now come to Xinjiang. After visiting cities like Urumqi, Kashgar, and Aksu, she was full of admiration for Xinjiang's socio-economic development and cultural diversity. She remarked that Xinjiang acts like a hub connecting various Eurasian countries through culture and industry. This connection makes the world seem smaller in Xinjiang, crossing borders between countries and achieving win-win cooperation.

外眼看亚欧博览会：连接中国和亚欧各国，新疆占据重要地位

6月26日至30日，以“丝路新机遇 亚欧新活力”为主题的第八届中国-亚欧博览会（以下简称“亚欧博览会”）在新疆乌鲁木齐举办。自2011年以来，亚欧博览会已成功举办七届，成为亚欧各国开展经贸合作的重要渠道。

亚欧博览会为外企进入中国市场提供绝佳平台

本届博览会共有来自50个国家、地区及国际组织，30个省区市、新疆生产建设兵团和自治区14个地州市的1900余家企业和机构参展。同时，哈萨克斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦、马来西亚、伊朗、塞尔维亚、白俄罗斯、联合国工发组织等20多个国家、地区、国际组织在展会设立了国家（地区）馆和形象馆。

吉尔吉斯斯坦国家馆主要展出蜂蜜、干果等当地有机食品，供游客免费试吃品尝。负责人塔基罗夫·乌麦特告诉记者，吉尔吉斯斯坦毗邻新疆，企业想要了解并进入中国市场，首先要进入新疆。“中国-亚欧博览会给我们的企业和产品提供了一个很好的平台，让我们有机会在这里检验产品在中国是否受欢迎，就像做测试，可以根据反馈来调整产品，以更好地适应中国市场。”

伊朗国家馆则展示着许多精美的地毯、挂毯。伊朗-中国工商会秘书长玛丽娅姆·萨米亚妮法尔德告诉记者，本次共有8家伊朗企业参展，涉及机织地毯、手工地毯、伊朗椰枣、藏红花等产品。“中国一直是伊朗最大的贸易伙伴，也是我们的目标市场，两国一直以来合作紧密。通过亚欧博览会，我们未来一定会有广阔的合作空间。”

外媒高赞新疆连接中国亚欧重要作用

记者从博览会上了解到，目前，中国已经是中亚五国哈萨克斯坦、乌兹别克斯坦、土库曼斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦和塔吉克斯坦的第一大贸易伙伴和主要投资来源国。

新疆在地理上与蒙古、俄罗斯、哈萨克斯坦、吉尔吉斯斯坦、塔吉克斯坦、阿富汗、巴基斯坦、印度8个国家接壤，坐拥得天独厚的地理优势。地处亚欧大陆腹地的新疆，是连接中国与亚欧各国的重要节点。

来自阿尔巴尼亚的电视台制片人、记者约娜·哈希亚在五月刚刚访问过粤港澳大湾区，这次来到了新疆。在参观过乌鲁木齐、喀什、阿克苏等城市后，她对新疆的社会经济发展、人文风情都赞叹不已。“新疆就像一个圈，亚欧各国在新疆通过文化、产业连接起来。有了这份联结，世界仿佛在新疆变得更小，各国之间跨越了边界，实现合作共赢。”
