Recently, a live broadcast by the "Bird-Watching and Ecological Preservation Festival" in Jiangmen (hometown of overseas Chinese) has been launched on various platforms, attracting nearly 10 million online viewers from home and abroad to watch birds together.

Located on the migratory route of birdsfrom East Asia to Australasia, Jiangmen boasts various bird habitats and bird-watching sites, including Kaiping Peacock Lake National Wetland Park, Taishan Haiqiao Wetland Park, and Heshan Gulao Waterfront, among others.

According to preliminary statistics, Jiangmen currently owns 18 birdhabitatsqualified for promotion and publicity. Every year from November to April of the following year, a large number of migratory birds come to Jiangmen to escape the cold and spend the winter.

Jiangmen initiated the "Bird-Watching and Ecological Preservation Festival" as early as 2021. This year, without disturbing the living habits of the birds, the organizers have installed high-definition cameras in seven bird-watching spots, including the Xinhui Birds' Paradise National Wetland Park, to conduct a live broadcast of migratory birds. Through the broadcast, global netizens can appreciate the ecological beauty of Jiangmen, the hometown of overseas Chinese, from the perspective of nature, listening to the gurgling water and the melodious chirping of birds, while enjoying the lush scenes of fragrant grass.

"Through the live broadcast of migratory birds, we can directly see the extensive work in ecological protection done by our hometown, Jiangmen," said Zhang Xiebo, President of the Brazilian Yamen Association. He also mentioned that he has shared the live broadcast with overseas friends, allowing them to witness the picture of harmony between human beings and nature.

It is reported that, this year's Bird Watching Festival not only featured the live broadcast but also awarded the title of "Publicity Ambassador of Jiangmen, Hometown of Overseas Chinese" to foreign internet celebrities Rafael Saavedra and Fernando Munoz Bernal, who have showcased a thriving and ever-evolving image of China to the world through their "in-depth bird-watching tour" videos.

Besides,manybird lovers have been attracted by the stunning scenes of migratory birds wintering in the Lingnan area in the live broadcast and thus embarked on an impromptu bird-watching journey to Jiangmen. Recently, photography enthusiasts from Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhuhai, and other places have come to Jiangmen in search of black-shouldered kites, the second-grade animal under state protection, which nest and breed here. Some bird watchers commented that, as black-shouldered kites have high demands on the living environment, the discovery of wild black-shouldered kites nesting and breeding in Jiangmen indicates that the city boasts a good ecological environment, the one that attracts more and more birds to settle down.

海内外近1000万人次观赏广东江门候鸟直播

近日，中国侨都（江门）“观鸟生态慢直播”全网开播，吸引海内外近1000万人次在线上一同观鸟。

江门地处东亚—澳大利西亚候鸟迁徙路线上。拥有新会小鸟天堂、开平孔雀湖国家湿地公园、台山市海侨湿地公园、鹤山市古劳水乡、蓬江区棠下镇弓田村和天乡村以及其他一大批的候鸟栖息地和观鸟胜地。

据初步统计，目前江门已知具备宣传推广条件的鸟类栖息地有18处。每年的11月到第二年的4月，大批候鸟都会到江门避寒过冬。

江门早在2021年就启动“观鸟生态慢直播”活动。今年，在不影响鸟类生活作息的前提下，主办方在小鸟天堂国家湿地公园等7个观鸟点，架设了高清摄像头，开展“观鸟生态慢直播”。全球网友通过以上融入自然的视角，可领略水声淙淙、芳草萋萋、鸟语嘤嘤的绿美侨乡生态之美。

“通过观鸟慢直播，我们很直观地看到家乡江门在生态保护上做的大量工作。”巴西崖门同乡会会长张燮波表示，他还积极把慢直播分享给海外朋友，让他们一起见证人与自然和谐共生的中国画卷。

据悉，除了慢直播，本届观鸟生态节还向外国网红博主Rafael Saavedra和Fernando Munoz Bernal颁发“侨都江门海外传播推荐官”聘书，通过他们在侨都江门的“观鸟深度游”视频，向世界展示了一个生生不息、欣欣向荣、蒸蒸日上的中国形象。

不少爱鸟人士被慢直播的岭南候鸟越冬胜景吸引，来了一场“说走就走”的江门观鸟之旅。近日，来自广州、佛山、珠海等地的摄影爱好者纷纷来到江门，寻找在此筑巢繁育的国家二级保护动物黑翅鸢。有观鸟爱好者表示，黑翅鸢对生活环境的要求比较高，在江门发现野生黑翅鸢筑巢并繁育幼鸟，说明这里城市的生态环境好了，吸引了越来越多的鸟类前来“安家落户”。
